Parenting takes a whole lot and as parents, you don't have to be too clingy or overprotective of kids just because you don't want any harm to come to them; this may be a good idea but it's somehow detrimental to their growth. Children would feel suffocated and assume they aren't given freedom and they become vulnerable out there and in the end, things might turn worse. It's striking a balance with this that matters.
