TRAIN UP YOUR CHILD IN A WAY THEY SHOULD GO!
Train up a child in a way that he should go so that when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Hawkers in the market
Change is very common and likely to occur at any given time in a person's life. But speaking of a case where my child desires a change for himself, let us say a change of religion for instance, this could be very complicated and might be seen as a taboo to some people depending on their religion and beliefs.
In my country, it is nearly unacceptable for your child to have a change of religion unless you grant them that permission and what will make your child have a change of religion is what we will be looking into today.
As I said, most people will find it taboo for their child to deny his or her father's religion to another. It would be better if the child gets to go with either of his parent's religions rather than waving off the whole boundaries.
Firstly, in my country, we practice a patrilineal system of inheritance and this means that the male child is entitled to an inheritance practically making a male the head of a family and a lineage.
This means that a male child, his wife, his household, and his family are to abide by his religion for a consistent lineage. Breaking out of this chain is seen as taboo but maybe that was back in the day because the world has changed and so did people.
I now find families where the father and mother are Muslims but the children are Christians and vice versa.
But here is my point of view, I don't think I'll be supportive of my child switching to a different religion that is other than mine. First of all, for your child to consider his or herself in a different religion other than yours as the father, means there has been a conviction somewhere, somehow he has been convinced that there is a brighter light on the other side that would change his life.
Secondly, before this conviction took place, it is obvious that you as the father didn't give the child a solid foundation on your religion, tradition, or beliefs because even the holy Christian book says, "train up a child in a way that he should grow so that when he is old, he will not depart from it."
From that context, you'll agree with me that when you train your child the right way, he will love, cherish, and admire whichever religion or tradition you brought him up with and will always defend it in public because he is fully aware of the value of what he has and how important it means to his family and lineage as well.
I can't watch my child having a different religion or tradition from the one I brought him up with unless she is a female child and this is only acceptable if she ventures into getting married to someone outside of our tradition and beliefs. But as for the male child, it is a no-no for me.
Education is the key, of course, when you educate a child, you are indirectly giving him access to various aspects of life. Training my children to understand my religion, beliefs, and traditions is one of the things that will solidify our lineage.
Thank you for your time image is mine!

I love your point and honestly, it's something terrible for a child to change from his or her parents religion. For me, it depends on the religion because I believe that there is only one God and as long as you worship that true God, we might not have problems.
On the on other hand, training a child as we should wouldn't make them change to what's not expected of them.
True, I see religion as a point of contact between your child and his creator, messing it up can be disastrous. This is why the child should be tamed on the right religion to avoid backlash.
Hmm you brought it down to gender based, the female can but the male can't lol.
Well, we all have what we think is right. And yeah, it is like a taboo when a child changes to another religion.
For me I will not also my female child to marry someone from the opposite religion 😃😃 I'm not saying the other religion is bad but I'm confident that my religion is one of the best if not the best so there's no point in switching.
