Hive has made me who I am today and when I say it has made me who I am today, I meant it has tuned every of my high school habits to the highest point and now it is hard to change but one thing I do is to manage it through different self discovered means...
I have been up countless times to read for exams I am having either a week before, three days before and a day before, I am not someone who will deprive myself of sleep for two months to come examination, no never I won't do that, I have taught myself to read while writing from the board and that is the first thing I do...
After reading and writing, it instantly puts the words in my long time memory and then reading some days to the exam will awaken them up for the wright use...
One thing I don't like doing in my life is depriving myself of sleep, I have come to understand that I get to understand things better when noise is on than in the midnight when everywhere is silent..
I love noise while reading, when I say noise I meant hearing sounds consistently but not a pin drop silence..
But I realize that time won't always permit me to read and study in the day time because of washing of plates, Washing of my uniforms and other chores and that has made me a LATE NIGHT READER...
When I thought all has ended I got to know the hive platform and everything became enhanced, from level two late night works, it advanced to level 8 late night works and I don't miss waking up at the wright time to do whatever I want to do...
We all know it is impossible to cheat SLEEP, you can only try to adjust the time but one thing is for certain, it can't be avoided because it will surely catch up with you when you are in the most vulnerable state and before you know it, you are asleep on that particular work you are doing..
Well well well, it depends on how well you train your body to adapt to late night reading or works, if you don't train your body, then working late will be impossible but when you start practicing it, in no time your body will adapt to the time you wake up and then it becomes constant even without alarm...
I have tried countless times to do late nights reading and works but I realize once it's 10:45pm, I doze off and then wake up when it's time for school the next day, funny enough my body has adapted to always wake up on or before 6 am the next day with or without alarm, it's because I have trained myself to always wake up on or before that time, it became an habit which also applies to weekends when I don't have school, I still wake up that 6 am and then I sleep back after I realize it's weekend...
So after sitting down and studying myself, I realize that I will never be able to do late night reading at this rate because as the last born, chores are inevitable and I need to be always equipped with knowledge for my next examination...
I thought of what to do after calculating my sleep time which doesn't exceed 10:30 pm, funny enough the only time I stay up late night is when I want to watch my Korean series, I promise you my eyes are always open but the moment I open that book, I sleep off automatically..
I then sat up one day to find solution to my inability to do late night reading and work and I came to discover the best solution that works for me..
MY LATE NIGHT TRICK BACK IN SCHOOL DAYS...
When I was in school, that should be years ago, I realized sleeping and dozing off is inevitable so I decided to do something about it and it worked like magic..
Whenever I got back from school, I don't waste time doing irrelevant things, I do the two things I constantly do before eating, I wash my plates and uniforms and then I eat, all this work is done in 1 hour..
After doing all this, I go to sleep immediately because I Know when my parents come back around 8 pm I will be woken up for dinner or even without them waking me up, I never miss waking up when it's time for dinner, it's food and I am a foodie...
After dinner I realize it's always very hard to fall asleep again because I just woke up an hour ago and that really helped me a lot, I realized that I last for 5-6 hours whenever I project my sleep time like that..
After having dinner around 9pm, I am always still up till 2am and I then feel sleepy after I have read and studied in those hours, funny enough I wake up again in 4 hours time to prepare for my school...
I did that consecutively for days and it worked like magic and it became an habit....
MY LATE NIGHT TRICK AS A BLOGGER..
This is now where the advancement came in lolz, I am someone who doesn't like posting late or in the midnight, I prefer to make my post in the early hours of the day after waking up from bed, that should be around 8-10 am in the morning and then I go for breakfast and then engage for a while before heading to the city to chat and gist with my fellow HIVEANS..
I am a full time hiver and most of the time I make two posts( morning and night), engage, eat, sleep and chat, this has been my life for the past three months..
I will say I have already program my body to always work in the early hours and that makes my work easier because I get INSPIRED in the early morning of day and in the late night of the day...
Whenever I know I want to work late night that is preparing my next day post overnight, I make sure I sleep for nothing less than 6-8 hours and when I wake up, I think of what to write and then start writing in my draft and I edit it only to be posted whenever I wake up in the morning, after drafting my post around 2am I still find it hard to sleep after those 8 hours of sleep and then I go to the city because most of them are late night chatters lolz 😂...
The act of taking stuffs like coffee ☕ or tea or dipping my leg inside the water to prevent sleeping is a lie, you can never cheat the body, when the body needs rest, it shuts down everything, your brain goes blank that you will be forced to sleep, the brain is responsible for most of the activities of the body, so if the brain 🧠 is tired, you will never escape sleeping...
That is to say, as a full-time blogger, I sleep anytime I want and that makes me to stay up late night any time I want, even when I have other offline jobs to attend to, I make sure I don't miss my early morning post and the afternoon sleep...
In summary,. I can only work late nights when I have had to sleep prior to that time but If I haven't slept or rested enough for the late night work, I won't be able to escape falling asleep before 10:30 pm, so for me to work late night, just know I have slept during the day...
In conclusion, late nights works can either be an impromptu or pre-planned event due to one reason or the other, just as our activeness is important, resting and sleeping is a necessity to a PRODUCTIVE WORK AND FUNCTION and don't forget you can't cheat SLEEP...

You know Foxy, there is this thing I enjoy when reading from you and that is the ability of you expressing yourself in writing and letting your readers have a glimpse of what you are saying and it's really just so cool.
Late night reading was never my thing at all, just like you I prefer listening to a consistent sound, it helps me focus easily but then the work at home won't let me have the peace to focus on just reading. Just like you I love paying attention in class to the teacher as I learn faster then than carrying my book to read and it really helped me a lot.
Sleep is a gift that God has given to us but to some extent we as humans we always enjoy changing things from the way they are supposed to be because we think we are wise, hehe, sometimes I just wonder how God looks at us when we try to cheat nature, lolz.
I do like sleeping whenever I feel like but sometimes I just have to deprive myself of some good sleep but then I can only try but in the end it is not my own doing. I'm always happy when I'm able to be awake for the speculated time, it gives me joy but then it is not really good for my health.

I think many people do not fancy the idea of sleep-deprivation. It's a natural thing, I guess. However, there are those that do not love to sleep for long, so it may seem like they do not like to sleep.
You strike me as a person that is strong-willed and can be determined when required. You know how to grind, especially at night, and that's really good. Even in the city, you're a buzzy bee.

Same method works for me if i want to be awake at night i sleep in the evening and that makes me awake throughout the midnight.

During the last week of October, just the past month, one day I worked till late night. I slept for few hours and woke up without sleeping again. The next day came with laziness, feeling of weakness, my whole self became pissed off.
Denying myself of sleep isn't healthy. But at times one may not help it when you have a job to complete. If that happens I try to make it up with more hours of sleep than usual.
As a young man, your pattern of sleep to develop yourself is not out of place.
