In recent times, I started fond of making cakes at home. And my speciality has been baking Biscuit cake. Making a cake at home is considered easy because most basic cake recipes only require a few simple ingredients, straightforward steps, and readily available kitchen tools. It gives complete control over the quality of ingredients and can customize flavors to our liking.
As the Christmas is approaching, I though to begin the day, by baking cake at home. And what could be better way that baking my own Biscuit cake. Due to its compact size and rich flavor, biscuit cake is often served with tea.
Biscuit cake is popular primarily because it is a simple, no-bake dessert that is incredibly rich and decadent, often made with chocolate and readily available biscuits, making it a quick and easy treat to prepare. Cooking biscuit cake, requires minimal baking skills and readily available ingredients like biscuits, butter, and chocolate, making it accessible to most bakers. And even we can prepare them home. As I looked around , I found few items already available, so does not take long to get going with the cake idea. I made use of following ingredients :
- Bournvita Biscuit
- Dark Fantasy Chocolate Syrup
- Eno to bake
- Milk Chocolate (dairy milk or others)
The combination of crushed biscuits with melted chocolate creates a rich, indulgent taste. Different types of biscuits can be used to customize the flavor profile. Additional item included in the cooking were
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 1 Spoon of Sugar.
Unlike most cakes, biscuit cake doesn't need to be baked in the oven, which saves time and effort. So my cooking were minimal, still it requires a constant watch on the baking process. The process begins by crumbling the biscuis into powder
I added little qty of sugar and grind them to fine powder.
Next step involves making a thick paste of the biscuit powder. Also to make it more chocolatty, I mixed the powder, with the Dark Fantasy Chocolate Syrup. And stirr it untill it get into a thick paste.
I also made use of some milk, to add on the mixture. Just to make it a thicker paste and chocolatty. Also eno pwder was also added at thisbstage to make the cake fluppy.
I took the mixture in a separate pan. Make sure to apply little butter to make it greasy. So that the paste does not get stick to it. Will spread the batter properly. Now we crushed the milk chocolate and spread on top of the cale batter.
Next step is to bake, and that too eothout any oven. For that, i took a fryung pan which is available at home, place the batter pan onto it and covered the lid from top.
We let them to cook, for 30 min. In between we keep.on checking the baking process. To make sure if the baking is in process or not, we can insert a and checking middle of the crust.
Let them to bake in slow flame for 10 more minutes. Our chocolate cake is ready to be served.
Cake baking at home is alwsys easy. While earlier, we use to savour the bakery bliss, but ever since i learned this simple cake making process, i make sure to ssvour home made cake. For sure, the quality of this product is much better. Much to our sarifaction.

We had once made a similar cake during the Covid lockdown and used the same ingredients.
