One Car Per Family Is Definitely Not The Way To Go

I think for a topic like this we need to consider a lot of factors before we deal with it. Before families or parents decide on the type of car they want to buy they first consider their kids. Yes, the car is for the couple but it’s also important for it to be able to box their whole family around.

This is where the idea of a family car has come from. I won’t lie, I tend to love family cars for how big they are. For most family cars they are smart as well so you don’t have to worry about the kids you have put back there.

But what do you say if families were only allowed to have one type of car? Well, I don’t think this is reasonable. A husband and wife in the beginning get a car when they don’t have kids yet. As chaotic as it can be they can both manage that one car without a child. The moment a child sets in the woman will want to have the car at her disposal always and I’ll say she’s right. This is cause having the kid by your side all the time will mean that she’ll need the car for her day to day activities.

The man on the other hand in most cases doesn’t move along with the kid so having the car to himself will be more detrimental to the mother and kid. Well, so if the woman is able to overcome the man and have the car the man will as well be looking for a car to make his mobility easier. This is where the idea of a second car comes into play.

So rightly so the family will be right to get two cars. So this scenario defeats the idea of one car in the first place. So now let’s talk about the carbon emission control scenario.

I believe that this situation can only be dealt with if people are totally stopped from using cars. Reducing the number of cars people drive will do no good to the environment and it’s sad. The sad reality is this and we have to put in more work than just stopping people from driving numerous cars. We also have to stop people from using certain kinds of fuel to power their cars. We will have to think about renewable energy or even electric cars for everyone.

I don’t believe that reducing cars can help the situation. Maybe we should also ban people from using airplanes or maybe we can have electric planes as well. I understand that someone might say that if we are able to reduce the cars that’s a step in the right direction. I might agree with this take but I don’t buy into it.

What do you think about this whole situation? Should families be asked to reduce their cars to just one so help combat the carbon emission crisis? Do you think authorities should consider the electric vehicle solution as well?
