I remember two years ago I wrote a similar post to this. I am making reference to two years ago not because I didn’t write one last year but then I feel like the last two was my most sincere one. I say it was my most sincere because I had just started hive and I wanted to get things going pretty fast. Fast forward to two years and I can only be proud.
I can be proud of how much hive has been a pivotal part of my growth in web 3 all though it has not been the most significant in my growth. But having something like hive to fall back on whenever things are not going on well will always be one thing that I will forever be grateful for.
Two years ago, I made a goal to make two posts everyday. Well it was going on well cause I think I was less busy. I only had school to think of and it was pretty easy for me to do that. Fast forward to last year and it looked like a whole new world to me. I was literally struggling to write one post per day and on some days I had to squeeze out time to make a post at work.
This year I have a totally different orientation to how I want things to be and I am sure I’ll get there.
First off, I want to be able to make a post every day of the week. I know some days are going to be pretty hard for me because I may fall sick and I won’t be able to do that. So this year for post that don’t require me to do any extra thing after posting I will probably try and schedule them. For other posts like spl social media and engagement posts which I need to submit my entry I’ll probably need to write them when the contest posts are announced.
It’ll be hard as some days I won’t feel motivated to post but I think I can do it. If I can’t do it I won’t want to miss out on much days like I did last year.
Posting goes with making comments and this year I want to up my engagement game. For now, I want to concentrate on my following list and try to drop a comment on their posts once in a while that’s if they interest me. For other communities which I post in I’ll probably make out time to drop a few comments as well.
I think it’s appalling when I look at my hive power and I am still at 1.7k after two years. Well, I did power down some months ago for reasons best known to me but this year I hope I don’t have to power down. I am looking for a realistic goal as I won’t be doing much power up and hopefully most of my hp will come from post payout. If things of change in my trading game and I get to make life changing profits I am sure hive power will be the first thing that I’ll look to buy.
For now the realistic goal is to double what I have now. So next year by this time I’ll like to have about 3.4k. Looks possible if I can be consistent in my posts. This means if I can make 141 hp per month I can get to this number as well. I can get there it all things go according to plan.
I was able to get to my Leo power goal for last year but then I don’t have that anymore. Things changed as my investment yielded profits and I have to power it down and book profits. So I’ll be looking to bug in slowly. If things get back to where it was till I got to 5k then I’ll be looking to double this about to 10k for this month.
Splinterlands is the one thing that I play seriously so for this year I think I don’t have any wicked goals for it. For now I want to get to 20k sps this time next year. I am starting from 0 and with what I was able to accumulate last year I best believe I can get to that level as well.
This year too I am aiming to make it past diamond II. I would have said make it into champion but since I have not been able to get into diamond I yet that is my next realistic goal. If I can get there then the next will be champion.
This year I am setting simple goals for me to achieve. Some of them look pretty easy to achieve but I’ll do that for now. One thing I’ve realised about every new year is that in the beginning everyone seems pumped up and are setting unrealistic goals which doesn’t go well for them. So for me this is what I want to do now.
If I can make more than that before the year ends I’ll be super proud of my self.
Setting realistic goals is a good step. I'm sure you will be able to work on these targets you have set for yourself. All the best 😉
