Time has flown really fast and before we know it, we've already past the first quarter of the year. It's no wonder that it was the case for me since I was occupied with work stuff for most of the time that I barely notice the passage of time. But it doesn't mean that all I spent the last three months was on work. When I got the opportunity, I also do other things to balance my between my job and personal life. In this post, I'm going to share some highlights of my activities during the first quarter of the year along with the progress of the goals I set this year.
When it comes to the events that I have gone the past months, there were two highlights that I want to share. First is Rakpublika 2025 which is a concert that was held annually within our province to celebrate the foundation of Philippines first republic and was also said to be the fist republic in the whole Asia. This year Rakpublika was held on February 22 and was incredibly amazing with more than 50 bands performing nonstop within the two stage for the event and there were even some foreign bands that were invited to perform. Me and my friends does not even know on what stage we should listen to due to how hectic the lineups were. It was also been the fist time that we were able to watch Saydie to perform live in our province since Covid pandemic and by now, you may already know how much of a fan I am of the band given by my hive username. Anyways, Here is Saydie performing one of their song during Rakpublika.
Only 15 days after that, I once again gone to the day 3 of Sining sa Hardin (Art in the Garden) which is a 3 day event which aims to advertise the artist from different parts of our province and showcase their art whether it was through their paintings or photography. There were also stalls that sold paintings as well as art materials and while browsing through different exhibits, there are also local bands and music groups that performs in the stage so it was a feast not only to the eyes but also to the ears. I was actually planning to make a separate post into this so I was quite stingy on including more photos aside from my thumbnail photo but here was a performance by Daloy Kolektibo playing Djembe which is a type of drum from Africa.
Moving on, I want to talk about some of the things that I accomplished during the first quarter of the year. On one of my previous post, I briefly talked about how reduced making post to caught up with watching One Piece and as of now, I am at episode 1115 and only 10 episodes behind the latest episode. That was 415 episodes or about 140 hours that I have to watch from when I stop though I have cheated a little bit through One pace so that run time was cut in half.
That said, my time was not only spent on watchin anime. I've also taken a free online course on Electrical Installation and Maintenance through Tesda. It wasn't that I want monetize it that I take the course but to be able to work on our homes electrical lines to help save money and I think that it is a good thing if I learn new skills.
Another thing that I am to do this year and accomplish was to buy a new desktop. The reason for this is that by October this year, all support for windows 10 will end which primarily means no more security update that will make computers vulnerable to viruses and malwares that could hack into our accounts and online wallets. The family computer that I used to work when doing maintenance with my laptop is not compatible with windows 11. While there are ways I can do to install Windows 11 on the family computer, I decided to just purchase a new desktop and sell our family computer because once all support to Windows stopped, I imagine that the price of older generation desktops will significantly drop.
Finally, I want to talk about my goals in Hive. At the beginning of the year, I have 1932 HP into my account and fast forward to this time, I now held 2,803. That was 971 HP increase in more than 3 months time even though I do not write as much. This was due to the fact that I also use my HBD rewards to buy more Hive to power up with at least 1 Hive daily and 10- 50 Hive during HPUD
Of course, what I achieve in Hive is not mine alone. It was thanks to all the people and curators that support me and I hope for your continued support.
And that was the my first quarter of 2025 wrapped up. Overall, I can say it has been good so far despite my tight schedule and other challenges. I hope that the next quarter will be more productive not only for me but for all of us.
Thank you for reading my post and see you on the next one!
oh damn didnt know that windows not updating. luckily my device has enough specs it autoupdated to windows 11 already in January. Hope you can get new pc saydie ~. sps 1 dollar would be gucci
I already got the PC above. It's a little pricey since its capable of ray tracing so I can play games with better immersion. I honestly don't like how bloated windows 11 is so I might as well switch to the penguin side.
