Setting Goals for March: Building My Hive Account and Personal Life

in Hive Learners2 years ago

I have been too busy lately with my personal life and making some beekeeping community plans to really have time for my personal blog. As much as I love to post frequently, I don't like rushing myself; instead, I post when I am least pressured.

The month of February had come to an end, and I had set some goals for myself regarding my personal life that were not too complicated. My goals for February were not as high as they were during the time I was writing exams in school.

untitled.gif

One of the goals I had set was to be able to finish the book I was reading, The Rich Man in Babylon, before the end of the month, and I was able to accomplish that in a week. I didn't know how I was able to do that. I was impressed with myself.

Another goal that I had set for myself was to get a new apartment and set it up. This goal was not achieved because of the delay I had with the landlord failing to make necessary repairs in the house. He caused a delay of two weeks before he could finally get it done.

These were the two primary goals I had set down for February. The other little goal I had written down was to be consistent with my Duolingo by practicing at least one lesson a day and also by watching at least a video in the course I am taking on Udemy. These little goals are part of my structured system, which I have to follow every day to achieve my main goal.

MY GOALS FOR THE MONTH OF MARCH

For the month of March, I would be setting goals relating to Hive, which would help me to consciously build my account and some personal goals for my life.

HIVE GOALS:

  • Write At Least 5 Posts A Week: I don't know how possible it is for me to achieve this goal, but I would look for a system that I can follow to make it possible. Last month, I wrote a total of 15 posts; with 5 posts a week, I would be able to write up to 20 posts in a month.

Writing frequently would increase my growth on the chain, which is why I need to start doing that more often.

  • Hive Power Goal: With a goal of 5 posts a week, I should be able to make up to 50 Hive Power per week payout at least. So my goal is to increase my HP from 17323 to 17600 Hive Power at the end of the month. Hopefully, I pray I don't encounter life scenarios that would cause me to have a power outage.

  • Leo Power Goal: My Leo Power has been too stagnant for a while. I attained 2000 LP a year ago on Leofinance, and I have not gone further than that. My goal is to raise 1000 LP, which I would power up for this month.

  • Kick-Start Another Batch of the Newbies Initiative: If you have not heard about the Newbies Initiative, it is a program that trains newcomers on Hive and equips them with the right goal mindset as well as knowledge of Hive guidelines, markdowns, communities, frontends, dApps, blockchain gaming, and much more.

The reason for the delay is that our planning is taking way too much time. This is because we are trying to solve some issues that may occur and do not want them to affect the newbies after the beginning of a new batch.

  • Begin Cross-Cultural Monthly Contest: It has been a year since I was inactive with Cross-Culture and her monthly contest. Due to school activities, I became inactive in the contest, which apparently contributed to the inactivity of the community. The contest would begin this month's march with delegation prizes of up to 2000 HP.

PERSONAL GOALS:

I don't have any new goals to follow for the month of March. My goals have always been constant and are not something that can be achieved overnight or in a short period of time. It only requires me to follow a structured system that would help make those goals a reality. These structures and systems include:

  • Practicing Duolingo daily, at least one lesson a day.

watching at least one video a day in my Udemy DevOps course.

If there are more goals to add to my personal goals, I will come back to edit this post and work toward them.

Finally, your landlord responded and did the necessary in your new apartment.

These are solid goals you have here, brother. They are specific and realistic, and attainable. I wish you the best in achieving them.

How far with the book?

About the book. I forgot to put down my goal for it.

I didn’t read it at all yesterday. I was too occupied and tired that yesterday. I am in abk already.

Settings goals has always saved the day for me...I learnt this through you Star. Your impact in my life can never be forgotten.

These are realistic goals and it's good you pen them down to serve as a guide to achieving them.
All the best in the month of march 👍👌

I want to see my crush's new apartment 🥺💜

I know you will scale through all of these goals.

You read the Richest Man in Babylon in a week? I am proud of you

@olujay, which book did you read? 🙄

I hope you kick start the newbie initiative soon. I am a direct beneficiary. So, I encourage you to keep the lights shining so other newbies can participate.

Hola! I am almost done with setting up the place, I promise to take pictures and write about it. Do you like to be tagged when I do that?

Thanks so much for the encouragement dear. I really do appreciate them.

Amazing. If not for this post, I forgot Cross-Cultural contest ever exist. I remembered participating then and even won some delegations. Those days... Hmmm.. I am glad you are bringing it back this month.

Thank God your landlord responded. Did you apply one of those methods?

It's good for one to set goals and be on track with them. All the best ✌️

I am glad to about Crossculture...

For my landlord, I started being nice and was less demanding. I learnt you can't get things by force but my being gentle. I appreciated him, then was kind while chatting with him.

Hehehe.. that is good. It can be surprising seeing someone as being nice even when we thought they'd be this cruel within. Lol

A man without plans definitely plans to fail.
Goals set us on the right path and that is definitely beautiful.

This is an amazing goal, and I hope you will archive them at the end of the day.
I have been waiting patiently for the newbie initiatives program, I wish to know the exact day it will kick start.

Thank you for touching lives bro, you are amazing !!!

Your name looks familiar.. did you attempt joining the last initiative?

No, I just joined 4 months ago.
I have been participating in Naija Weekend engagement, maybe that's where you knew me. And I'm still a fan of your publishing 🥰

I haven't been active at the 9ja weekend engagement. Probably through the hive learners community hangout session.

Oh, that's right.

I hope I could get 50 HP out of 5 posts in a week. :D... I guess I need to build up my reputation first.

And to build your reputation, you need to get familiar with people and build friendships.

And that means, I have to interact with the other members often. :).

Thanks..

Wow! Congrats you're done reading with that book. Have you shared some thoughts or lessons you get from that book? If yes may I know? So I can read it.

5 blogs in a week is so difficult for me. Last month I only posted 12 blogs and I am aiming to reach atleast 15. Hopefully we can reach our MARCH goals.

Yeh 5 blogs per week is difficult for me too. So I want to put in the effort to make it so.

Yeh I have written about the lessons learned in the book. You can read it here.

Exactly. I love your use of consistently and willingly! If those two things are not found. A goal is just a written plan with no hope of making it to reality.

Thanks for the contribution. Happy week to you!

Yeah. Helping others on the chain has always been my goals and I would not lose foresight of it.
