Hello Hive Learners!
Welcome to another contest inspired post.
I used to think I was physically fit until I climbed a long flight of stairs sometime last year.
The stairs were the only way to get to the floor I wanted to get to and it was six floors.
I was going to the fifth floor.
I remember thinking it was going to be an easy and quick thing and that I'd be on the fifth floor in no time.
I was mistaken.
After climbing up to the first floor, I began to feel the impact of climbing up and by the time I got to the third floor I had slowed down considerably, panting heavily and gasping for breath.
By the time I reached the fifth floor I had to take up to thirty minutes to catch my breath and get my strength back before I could proceed.
I thought I was fit though I was healthy and not experiencing any illness, I wasn't exercising at all and it made my body weak and lazy.
I used to be able to run up several flights of stairs a long time ago when I was still in high school due to the fact that I used to participate in various sporting activities that helped keep me in shape.
I thought it was going to be the same that day.
After that incident, I made a vow never to experience what I experienced while climbing those stairs and so I went online to check out home workouts sessions.
Working out at home has worked very well for me because I get to do it in private and at my own pace.
Before I settled for my present workout routine, I experimented with a lot of workout routines.
I tried Squats, Push Ups, Planks, Sit Ups, Bicycle Sit Ups, and a lot of others.
Though some YouTube tutors recommended weight lifting I made sure to avoid that. I'm not capable of lifting what is obviously heavier than I am.
I tried all mentioned above one after the other trying to figure out which one stuck to me the most, but I couldn't keep up with them because after each session my muscles ached so much that it was difficult to keep up the routine because I was always wanting to heal first.
I tried to be consistent too and I saw the results of my shaky consistency until I finally gave up on all of them.
I didn't workout for a long time until I stumbled upon a Cardio Dance Workout Session On YouTube.
The instructor was exercising - dancing, in tune to a popular song which made it seem more interesting and the dance moves were both for exercising and having fun while exercising.
After watching the video, I knew that I had found the ideal workout routine for me.
CARDIO DANCE WORKOUT
The basic definition of this type of workout routine is that it's a way of exercising by dancing to music.
It's the type of exercise that actually makes exercising or workout seem fun than all the others and it's easy to be consistent with it.
For me anyway.
For this workout there are no particular dance moves needed and it's not a requirement for you to be a professional dancer before you can participate.
The dance moves are selected for specific areas of the body.
Each dance move focuses on one part of the body for a few minutes then the next dance move focuses on another body part, thereby spreading the exercise to all parts of the body.
Any song can be used, but it's advisable to use a hip hop song or beat that will make you want to work out.
The music sets the mood for the workout.
Cardio Dance Workout has a lot of benefits health wise.
It helps to exercise all the parts of the body thereby enabling the proper circulation of blood, it helps to make the bones stronger, it helps to regulate the heart rate and so much more.
Don't forget it makes working out fun mainly because when I really get into it, I forget that I'm actually working out.
MY WORKOUT SCHEDULE
I dance three times a week in the mornings one hour after I wake up.
By the time I'm ready to dance, my body will be fully awake and active for a good dancing session.
I have a dance instructor I subscribed to on YouTube, so whenever I want to workout I tune in to her channel and pick any dance workout video of my choice and get down to it.
It usually takes me about an hour by my calculation though it's timed by the minute in the videos. By the time I am finished I don't feel tired or ache everywhere like I used to and that's a good thing.
I usually feel happy when I am done dancing for the day and I feel energetic too by the time I am done dancing.
With optimism like that, I'm always eager to carry on the next day and the next and I can go about my day with the renewed energy of a good workout session.
If you're having difficulty working out a steady for your workout session, I suggest you try Cardio Dance.
It'll help a lot and it will help remove the strains of a heavy workout session off your mind.
This is inspired by the @HiveLearners weekly contest.

wow, three times a week is a good thing to exercise for a healthy body. In addition, when the city works, it is also not disturbed because we only use our free time to exercise.
Exactly!
Thank you for reading! 😇
You're welcome
Hmm... This is the first time I am hearing of this cardio dance. But then, if you are doing it then it has to be working out. Keep it up!
Thank you for sharing this with us.
It's quite common too.
