Wishing everyone a happy Easter 🐣 holidays as we take time off to rest from physical work activities. In fact, I like holidays a lot and I know you guys do too.

And this last prompt for this week 161, edition 03 is one I see as interesting due to how our lives and everyday living revolves around “making a decision”. And one thing that is sure in life is that situations must call for decision making, especially those that affects our lives.

I have been in situations that made me take decisions that are really helped me out, and one always guided by my instincts which I feel comes from inner motivation because sometimes making up our minds towards a decision could be hard especially if fear 😨 and anxiety 😟 is what we see and feel.

I once faced a problem of working with a company where what I was employed for was not what I was doing again after months of being employed has passed. In fact not that the extra job added to my work load was the issue here because I was able to learn new things from the new work, but I have always believed in keeping to terms and conditions of employment. And as time went by, I demand from my manager of how they are supposed to increase my pay 💰 or at least be paying me something extra as compensation. But it appears as if they do things like this deliberately just to make sure they get more from you.

So I did not bother them again after a while seeing that they stayed adamant to my request. All I did was pay much attention to the job, learning more things that were tasking and making sure to do things right. But along the line, I made a decision of looking out for a new job in the same field and promised myself that the next job I will get will pay better from the present because of how I have gathered more experiences. And I deed left for another job within one year that paid three times better. My previous company felt so disappointed but regretful.

Making decisions are one of the biggest things in life because it shows how we have the power in our hands to control things around us but the issue here is that most of us don’t want to make decisions and stand by it due to their pessimistic nature. They are so laid back when they are faced with some issues because of fear 😨 and anxiety 😦. And this made many to accept what ever comes their way.

I feel as adults 👩🏻 we have the opportunities to make decision. This means we have the ability to decide on our own what we want to do, what we don’t like, how we want to make our moves concerning issues around us, and the determining factor being doing what we feel that is the best among every other options because we have to take up every responsibility in any decision making we take

And apart from minor decisions that we come across every other day, decision making can also be hard and troubling when it comes things that we see as long term goals and objectives. These decisions can revolve around what kinds of personality we want to keep? what kinds of friends we want to have? who do I want to marry and where will my present work take me to in the next few years? These are areas that needs thoughtful decision making with attention and lots of consideration because we do not want to make mistakes that will cost 💲 us later in life.

My approach towards decision making is always based on how does the situation affects my life, well-being, family and environment. I could also consider how important it is and time factor which centers on what is the urgency. This means decision making comes with what’s the situation like? And I make decisions most tines trusting my instincts as not to take the wrong decision at a giving time.

Considering a friend has been admitted under emergency and I needed to see her within the same time I have a crucial meeting to attend, I will definitely prioritize going to the hospital to see this friend because this is under urgency and emergency 🚨 which has to do with life. The meeting I missed definitely becomes secondary on my list since I know I will obtain informations later through minutes of the meeting. This definitely comes from instincts. It could be a difficult one at times but is our responsibilities to make sure we do it right.

In conclusion, we should always be focused while making decisions to avoid had I know and regrets because our responsibilities as adults is always knowing there is consequences to every actions we take. This however means we should think 💭 through what ever what action we wants to take no matter what stress we going through or difficulties we face because our responsibilities will always be ours.
