When topics like this very one comes up in weekly featured content, the first thing that comes to my mind is how good technology has been because we will not be talking of digital relationships if not for technology and platforms that keeps changing the world 🌍
I keep cherishing how I am among those that are enjoying all the benefits of this era despite the challenges we are facing because of its fast pace. But honestly speaking technology has made everything communication online so easy. I can say digital relationship has taken over the old way of relationships where two people has to know each other face to face before going into a relationship.
Texting is what we do most of the time because we see it as something very easy and saves us the stress of talking especially when we feel we don’t have enough time which talking can consume. And I can say too that digital relationships became easier due to how communication cost💲 less, so many people use this advantages to maximize through texting to save cost they would have spent through calling and talking.
Digital relationships are something I see as one that we as individuals has the right to decide on how we want to actually relate with those we have something to do with digitally and its basic that some messages we receive through digital are more important than others which is why we need focus. By this I mean that some relationships through digital are beneficial while others can be harmful, so it all depends on who we are dealing with in the relationship and what we actually want in that relationship.

I have witnessed a digital relationship that became something tangible. In fact it started as a chart through WhatsApp a colleague friend told me. Initially we thought 💭 it was a scam when this guy started chatting her, but I told her to just be focused and know his point of direction. This guy was based in the United State so what could he be looking for from my friend. And as time went buy, he demanded they video call which she agreed to so that they get to see their faces properly. And after this video call it was a new chapter for my friend. To cut the story short, this guy came back to Nigeria this past Christmas 🎅 for her engagement. He said he needed a peaceful marriage and did not want to marry in the United State of America 🇺🇸. And my friend did ran a detailed check on him in the internet before accepting his proposed marriage.
Digital relationship I see as one that can favour some people while failing others just like some physical relationships did not work out. All we need do is having focus to know what exactly does the relationship look like as time passes by because many has received help in many ways through digital relationships. And some of these relationships might not lead to friendship or marriage, but one that can help us in many other ways if it’s genuine.
I have met many friends here on hive that I interact with in different levels.. We are all here digitally and all friends because we are in a community that we believe that its ours, trying our best to provide value of all kinds for sustainability.
To maintain a healthy relationship online needs us to be focused at all time, knowing the right thing to do or say a a given time, while also watching out for moves from those who wants to scam us because its real that many are just there waiting for the right time to strike. But as humans, our conscience should always play a very vital role when it comes to doing to others what they never expected of us. Paying attention is very important here.
However, we should also be looking out to details on communication because there are some text that comes to us from our online friends that can appear suspicious 🤨 or questionable. These are the hints when we need to stay at alert 🚨. because many don’t even have the conscience we are talking about. But I have always believed that what we do comes back to us. We will receive good if we lived good 😊 and receive bad if we lived bad. I believe we should do all we could as humans to live a healthy happy life at all time both digitally and physically.
