In one of the previous posts, I had said I have been learning, unlearning and relearning many things on Hive since I came aboard.
I have been thinking of when would be the right time to tell people about how I do my thing espcially in the aspect of writing - or blogging as the case may be. But as the universe would have it for me; here came the @hive-learners prompt:
Week 04 - Edition 03 Topic
“BLOGGING EXPERIENCE”
We all are bloggers, we do it regularly enough for us to bear the title. So tell us how the experience is for you so far. Do you blog with your phone, or a PC? Do you write your words down first or you type them directly? And how have you found blogging to be so far? Please tell us, we might learn from you.
You know, you could check out my entry for the last prompt - THINGS WE (DON'T) DO FOR LOVE.😘
When I came on board to the chain, I knew I did write but I was not the one you could take for the little I am doing now. But as @monioluwa charged me to just continue, I have been following the advice keenly. So far, it has been quite an awesome experience for me. I will be telling you about some of them in this post.
I am someone who when I type on the phone for a long time, I get bored of writing and my fingers get stressed, I think. So, this is why I use my PC to type most of the time but I still use my phone to check posts and engage.
Concerning the blog contents, I do get inspiration to write from personal experiences, things around me and contests - as long as it fits in to what I could write on. When I started blogging on Hive, I was really slow in publishing posts. This is because when I get inspiration to write, I just scribble them - the proposed topic, points - down on paper, my phone or PC. I actually have a folder for it - Hive!
Then, at a later time, I would later come and expound on the points I have written down. Even the time to expound them comes, I think on and on per a couple of sentences to make sure it had enough senses inbuilt. At times, the way I write could be funny such that even when I had the points and the chronology with which it should go, I might start writing from the conclusion, then maybe the intro and finally the body. Yes! I know it is funny. 😁
Another funny thing I do is that at times inspiration could bring more than a topic/title, and you know, I start to write on each of them at the same time. It could reach a point then that I would have multiple documents opened on my Window and I am updating them per time and simultaneously.
"If there is no struggle, there is no progress." - Frederick Douglass
Also, every day ain't Christmas. This implies that, for me, at times I just lose the vibe to write. Although this does not happen to me all the time, it seldom does. Why do I feel @monioluwa has infected me with his vibes thingy?
But recently I have improved on these sets of skills I have. For a couple of prompts that Hive learners have been graciously bestowing us, I have been writing some of my entries without even thinking about them. The idea somehow just flows immediately. I copy and paste the prompt to my writing software. The apps I use or have used range from WordPad, Microsoft Word and Google Docs. Recently, I have been using Google Docs since my Ms Office has not been activated for some time now. Also, one could work offline and it saves directly to both my phone and Drive.
So far, as I said earlier, it has been….
.... learning, unlearning and relearning many things on Hive since I came aboard.
And more importantly, it has become interesting for me such that I could do a whole piece in just one sitting. Yes, I am improving.
It's very nice that you're improving.
And at this point, I think I can boldly say you are better than me at writing and blogging in general.
Keep being better chief. I'll be rooting for you.
Thank you very much for the push and all.. I celebrate thy grace. You'f make a great leader!!🙌
Thanks boss. 🤲🤲
Ahh why do I feel that you are looking at me now?😬.
This is me all the time. I get tired typing with my phone and when I switch to my laptop, I still switch back to my phone to check my notification
Very well, we've got things in common, @joydukeson 😁
This has been my experience and I think it will continue like this as long as hive exists
