It's the second week of the newbie's lessons and tasks given by our tutors. To our teachers and team leaders, i say thank you for the lectures and guidance.

Diving over to the review of the meeting which was held last Sunday, we were privileged to be lectured on the fundamentals of hive, what to do and what to guide ourselves against. And one of these lectures takes us to the question;

What Differentiates Hive From Web2?

We were made to understand that hive is a decentralized platform, where every man is entitled to their possession. This is considered the direct opposite of the web2 platform which has the likes of the commonly used whatsapp, instagram, facebook.. and more to mention.
These social media apps are used on a daily basis by a large number of individuals but it's owned by one man.

More also, as carefree as the hive platform may look, it has its own principle of conduct that have helped sustain her over the years, and these principles are put in place to continually serve the purpose to which the hive blockchain was first established.
To ensure the continuous flow of its main purpose, the hive platform strictly discourages the use of some elements such as;

•Plagiarism

These are acts of making use of others' images, writeup or any work of art without making a proper acknowledgement to the owners. The hive blockchain is fair and appreciated original contents, that is write ups or any works of arts done by you only.
However, when making use other’s ideas, proper indication and acknowledgement is a necessity.

•Vote Begging

These majorly occur with content creators who fall short in up votes. Thereby, taking the lead of messaging other bloggers privately or indicating with a plea at the end of a post to be upvoted for.
Personally, I wouldn't call this a crime. However, it's as good as degrading one's self and indirectly reducing the worth of the block chain as well. Upvotes are important but it's more satisfying when it's gotten without any underground methods. It shows the worth of how good you're and committed to what you do.

•Post Recycling

Hmm.. I guess it wouldn't be harsh to call these sets of individuals lazy.
Post recycling is an act of editing previous writings to post again, probably in a different community which is considered as cheating. No man would love to eat a particular meal over and over again.. They would definitely get sick and tired of it and the same applies to the post you make. Recycling a particular post is the same as serving the same dish and when that happens, could lead to lack of upvotes from curators.

These few listed and explained are some elements or we could call it, enemies of the hive blockchain.

Moving forward, we were lectured on the importance of tags and its use, which brings us to the question;

What Ways Are The Use Of Tags Relevant To A Post?

During the lecture, it was explained that the use of tags and how it's being outlined in a post is very important.
Tags are generally in place to broaden the view of a post but at same time, its purpose could only be achieved when the right tags are used in an appropriate and well arranged manner.
And some of these tags including;

•neoxian
•proofofbrain
•hive-engine
•pimp
•vyb

Lastly, the use of Markdowns is also a vital tool used in attracting curators to a post. It's work is to help beautify and bring out the simplicity and maturity in writing.
Markdowns are numerous, and some of which I made use of in my post to the best of my knowledge.

A thank you once again to our tutors and team leaders.

You're indeed a good student, well done. We all need to adhere to all these guidelines. Good one.

Many thank you big sis😌❤

Very good list.

Wrt web2.0 I would consider the Hive frontends to be web2.0 too. I think the main difference is between the standard web2.0 apps like FB, Linkedin etc, and solutions like Hive.

Post recycling is bad if done for votes for sure. But sometimes I feel that Hive votes can stop us from doing things naturally if we think about it too much. For eg if I want to go back and add or edit my post it should be ok to do that. This is one tricky area of Hive that I notice as a newbie.

Thanks for writing this useful post for future newbies. Cheers from a fellow #dreemerforlife

Eh Heh! Tory is a pro already. This is really smart of you. I mean I found myself even learning a thing or two. Great job
