One Car, One Family

in Hive Learners14 days ago

If a law is to be implemented that a family should own one car, to my perspective I think it's gonna have it's positive side and its negative side and I will be talking about both sides so we see it from both angles.

Source

The positive side:

Decreased Traffic Congestion: So with fewer cars on the road , the road might become less congested , and would make commuting faster. Especially here in Lagos where this is more, I usually call Lagos the home of Traffic, because there's no day there isn't traffic in Lagos , nowhere you want to go to that you won't experience this traffic. For instance, in cities where rush hour traffic can extend a 30-minute journey to two hours, this policy could restore reasonable travel times and improve overall urban mobility. So if paraventure this law were to be made, then it would aid people get to their destination faster , because the roads would be very free to move.

Reduced Carbon emission: Fewer cars on the road definitely would lead to lower greenhouse gas emissions particularly carbon dioxide and nitrogen oxides. , and this will bring about a cleaner environment, this is the most important to me , because the air will be cleaner and there would be lower rate of respiratory illnesses and other health conditions associated with air pollution due to the reduction in this

Also Increased physical activities: With reduced alliance on cars , people would want to walk, cycle, or take public transport for shorter journeys and we all know physical activities will improve human health ,helping address issues related to sedentary lifestyles such as obesity, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes.

Economic impact: So While there would be some economic drawbacks, Some economic benefits would also arise. There will be Reduced road maintenance costs, even lower public spending on highway infrastructure, and decreased healthcare costs related to air pollution and traffic accidents could provide significant savings for governments. All these funds could be redirected toward improving public transportation systems and developing more sustainable urban infrastructure.

The Negative Side:

Reduced mobility:Families with plenty of drivers or those that live in areas with limited public transportation might face difficulties in going around, in a case where they have to rush to work or school or anywhere important it would be difficult for them to get quick access to Transportation.

Increased burden on public transportation: So the demand for public transportation would rise, and this will be overwhelming to existing infrastructure and services.

Inconvenience: Families might need to adjust their lifestyles, they will sacrifice their convenience and flexibility and this might become issues to family , disagreement and quarrels will come up among members of the family.

So with these points I have stated here I believe that both sides should be looked at before there can be a law on this. It should be checked out how this stuff can affect human lives in general. While it offers compelling benefits in terms of environmental protection and urban congestion reduction, the challenges it will present are very substantial and would require careful consideration and planning.

The one car one family sure isn’t going to make the earth a better place. Just imagine all the dangerous attacks that could even happen if you have all one family in one car.

Hmmmm that's why I said the pros and cons of this should be looked at very well before it can become a law
