Thousands and thousands of them,
They have come and they have gone,
These neighbors who tidied my room when I became a son,
They are now the nightmares responsible for my restlessness,
The northern heartless sun that burns my every consciousness.

Father! Father! When mummy bore me to you, you smiled,
And a yellow party for my arrival you styled,
What then? What then had happened to that love and care?
It has gone silent, still and quiet, feeding me a pack of despair.

Father! You always loved to see my face and my pretty smile;
Have my cheeks now been wrinkled with time abysmally?
Father! The clouds have been crowded by your fragrance. But all these experiences haven't craved your indulgence.

Why do you still lurk behind these bright lights I see,
Remaining like a human figure seen from across the sea?
To this rope of hope, I can't hold on for much longer,
Please, permeate the signs;
Father! Please don't let it linger.

Thanks for reading my post.

The relationship between parents and their child is a very interesting one. Every parent have a duty of care to their child and they will always show their care even when they grow old.

Losing any of our parent can make us to feel as if we have reached the end of the world. The feeling and thought is excruciating.

It makes me wonder how orphans manage to live everyday of their lives.

What an emotional poem! A parent and child have a complicated relationship most of the time, but in the end, they are forever linked!
