My Okitipupa experience

I'm not really a fan of traveling especially if it has to do with long distance journey because I don't enjoy sitting down for too long. Aside from the fact that the journey is stressful, the drivers don't even help matters when it comes to loading the cars or buses, you'll pay a huge amount of money as bus fare and you'll be packed like sardines in the car or bus and you won't be able to breathe.

My travel experience to Okitipupa( this is a place in Ondo state, Nigeria)
So the first time I traveled to this place was for school, that's where I had my university. When my mom told me the news of the school there giving me admission I was so happy and looking forward to going there, the night before we were to travel I immediately packed my bags, anticipating the journey and making plans on how I'll enjoy that place and the likes.

The D-day finally arrived
I can still remember the day like it was yesterday, I was happy that I could barely sleep, I'm sure we can all relate. So morning came and had my bath and so did my mum and my dad prepared to attend morning mass as it was his daily routine, my mum and I prepared and my dad dropped us at the park.
The travel was convinient because the driver puts 3 passengers per seat, so it was really comfortable traveling. The journey was very fast and we got there in like 2 hours. On getting there, what I saw wasn't what I expected as I already did my research about the place. Aside from what I saw wasn't what I expected my spirit wasn't okay with the place, I kept getting negative vibes about the place but my assured me everything was going to be okay, that I should put my faith and trust in God.

On getting there the house agent that was supposed to get a place for us took us to a very poor environment with buildings that would collapse anytime. My mom was pissed, I wasn't really paying much attention I was just looking around at things that caught my attention and I was like why will someone have a shrine in front of the house or why will there be a grave in front of the house, a lot of thoughts and things crossed my mind and the more we kept moving from place to place looking for somewhere to stay, the more I lost interest in the place. No electricity, the churches around few very few, very bad roads, water was another issue on its own because before you could get water, you had to go a very long distance and you had to pay to fetch water, it wasn't free. I'm actually glad I have left the place, although before I left, they were working on their electricity and with what I heard, they now have electricity although it's not constant and before you can have it, you'll have to pay a huge amount of money, so only the rich can have electricity there, it's one place I don't want to go back to for any reason.
