Hello everyone and welcome to my blog at this hour. The act of gratitude may be a key to boosting your mood and making you happy. There is a close link between gratitude and happiness. Happiness is simply that sense of joy and fulfillment that is felt from the inner self that gives you satisfaction about your life.
A genuinely happy person is the one that has discovered their purpose in life. It is until a person have discovered their sense of self-worth that they can be said to be happy. When a person is happy from within their inner self then they will definitely be appreciative of what they've got. Gratitude fuels our happiness at all times - it is only normal that when you live a purposeful life and satisfactory life you will be grateful.
The act of gratitude has so many positive benefits to the life of a person. Let take a look at a person that is living comfortably with his family, with a well paying job, debt free, etc, he or she will be thankful for the kind of life that they live. By extension, their overall well-being will reflect it. They are more likely to take care of their health well by eating balanced meals, exercising regularly and so on. There's less risk of being exposed to high blood pressure, stress and deficient immune system when you're grateful about life.
The best way to make gratitude a habit is to make it a part of your everyday lifestyle instead of a ceremonial practice. It just requires you to pay attention to the little things you might have been taken for granted and take some time to be thankful for them. You can be thankful for your shelter, the bottle of water you're about to drink, the friend that called to check up on you or even the plumber that fixed the broken pipe in your bathroom.
Even in the midst of a busy work day you can take out time to be grateful about things in your work environment. Instead of complaining about the stress, practice gratitude and watch oxytocin kick into your body. Therefore, ensure you always practice gratitude and experience more happiness in your life.
