Though am not fully vegan but I love and admire everything about them,
Their respect for animals and it's produce is highly commendable.
I can't become vegan Even if I try to because my husband is strongly against it and I was also raised by non vegans,
It is easier for people raised by Vegans to remain vegans than people who were raised by non vegans to transit to vegans but that doesn't mean it's impossible.
But first who are vegans and what do they stand for?
Vegans are people who don't eat, wear or purchase anything made from animal produce.
They are people who Respect and value the coexistence of animals among humans.
Being vegan doesn't mean eating unbalanced diets or foods that lack some nutrients but rather being vegan means eating healthy and balanced food while respecting the existence of animals and avoiding it's cruel treatment.
I remember watching an India movie that featured a vegan family, a member of the family got married to someone who pretends to be vegan just to be accepted by the family but eats meat secretly at night,
One day, the grandma of the house found a hidden chicken bone in the house but could not find the culprit,
She immediately called for a fasting and praying by all the family member to cleanse the house from God's anger.
That's how serious real vegan value their beliefs and that's why I respect them and their beliefs though am not vegan.
Aside their respect for animals, being vegan comes with other health benefits such as lowering the risk of high cholesterol and some health diseases .
We have good and Wonderful plantbased dish which consists of a well balanced diet and their are various plantbased ingredients that one can substitute for animal produce and it will also give you the required nutrients you're looking for,
For instance :
Coconut milk, soy milk is a great substitute for cow milk though it taste different and beans, peas are great source of proteins .
Tofu can be substituted for eggs and there are vegans butter in the market.
Transitioning to vegan won't be easy but with focus and determination , a non vegan can become one and I would love to become one of them one day if am given the chance but I don't think that would happen because
1, my husband won't allow such in his house and as a Nigerian wife, I have to accept his decision.
Even if I try to, a foodie like me can't survive a week as a vegan but I respect all vegans
Most vegan ingredients are expensive and some are rare in the market, so being vegan will definitely be difficult for me.
4 the rate of inflation in the country is something else, so keeping up with being vegan is only for the determine .
In summary
Being vegan is definitely not a bad idea but rather is a good decision for anyone who is determined to become vegan,
Being vegan don't necessarily mean been 100% healthy and out of risk of Ill health but being vegan means eating healthy while respecting the existence of animals.

I love your post and the way you describe vegans in detail!
I couldn't be vegan either, being raised in a non-vegan household and my wife doesn't support the idea either. It's hard enough for me to live away from sugar because of my wife, imagine being vegan! 😂
Exactly my point, I have to consider my family before anything
I really appreciate how you’ve expressed admiration for the vegan life, indeed though you are n’t one yourself. It’s clear you have a deep respect for the values and ethics that insectivores uphold, especially when it comes to esteeming creatures. Your honesty about the challenges of transitioning to a vegan life, especially in anon-vegan ménage, is relatable. It’s true that artistic and domestic influences play a significant part in our salutary choices, and it’s estimable that you still hold a regardful view of veganism. Thank you for participating your studies so openly!
Thank you for visiting my blog,
Yes I have high respect for people and their beliefs especially vagans
