Yes indeed, it never goes higher than halfway in wintertime, so yup, always nice light, and the golden hour lasts quite long (not yet all day as it is in the nordics).

Same, actually… Sun down today at 16:38 :-) The sun is actually VERY low all day, but not quite golden hour yet. I guess I’m just too picky photographically :-D lol

Yesterday a report came out of the meteorological institute of Belgium, that in December 2024, up to this point (so day before yesterday), we had 6 hours and 11 minutes of sunlight. In total. Not per day, not per week, per over half-a-month :-D
I did see it pass by briefly yesterday. I quickly grabbed my iPhone and took a picture. It wasn’t even really there, but you could see it still existed, behind all the clouds. And even that only lasted a few seconds…

But, yesterday we had to go to Luxembourg, which means driving through the whole eastern part of Belgium, and there we didn't see sun, but we did get to see a lot of snow! Which is also always quite fun :-D Unfortunately we arrived there at 16:20, and it was already pitch dark :-D
