I totally agree with you regarding the "voices in our head". This is one of the reasons I try to start the day out thinking about what I am thankful/grateful. There are so many edible items in the wild but also poisonous as well, most have forgotten about which is which. I think the non-edible of the three is the hawkthorn but this is only a guess. I have heard of elderberry wine and jam so assume that is safe to eat but do not know about the horse chestnut either. Take care.

It is the Horse Chestnut that is non edible the hawthorn are good for making into jelly so are edible they have a nutty flavour and is a very useful plant all round for medical as well.
