Happy midweek π We're now entering the second week of January. Amazing how days are going by too fast. And here I'm not as fast in ticking items off my task list. π
I suppose I have accomplished some important things (important for me anyway) -- like ordering gifts for my daughter. She supports a group called Guinea Pig Shelter PH and saw some merchandise they have for sale. We both love guinea pigs, so it's a good idea to support the cause. I got her these plushies that will be waiting when she comes home for a visit. I suppose I will need to wait another year before that happens. For the meantime, these lovable plushies will be sleeping with me. π
My daughter is not the only one who deserves a gift. After all, I've been doing my best each day. π Moving forward in 2025 I'd like to take it easy while at work. I also feel like giving my back a treat. π€£ Got myself this gift for the new year...
I received the delivery yesterday, and I'd say I had a nice nap after work. Right now, I'm adapting to a new routine as I get to sit back more. It's good for my lower back. π I'm taking my road to wellness seriously.

I think this is a good reminder for me to start each day with fresh eyes. That way I'd be open to opportunities that will come my way and learn new things along the way. Much as having a routine is good, I need to be careful not to shift to autopilot day to day. I love days when I learn new and improved ways of doing things. I think it's the only way I can grow with the flow. At the moment, I need to challenge myself more in working on my decluttering. I have yet to move forward in this endeavor. One step at a time... one day at a time. πβ€οΈπ‘
It's the Feast of the Black Nazarene tomorrow. If I'm not mistaken it's also a local holiday in Manila. Hopefully work will be lighter. π Three more work days to go before my weekend. π

If (and when) you drink coffee, try drinking it in the morning for better health benefits! An observational study in the European Heart Journal revealed a link between morning coffee drinking and a lower risk of certain conditions!
The study authors analyzed data on 40,725 adults aged 18 and older, collected from 1999 to 2018. At the end of the analysis, the authors found an interesting association. Those who drank coffee in the morning (from 4 a.m. to 11:59 a.m.) experienced a 16% lower risk of premature death from any cause and a 31% lower risk of dying from cardiovascular disease. All-day coffee drinkers didnβt have such risk reductions!
To be mentioned: Itβs just an outcome from the data analysis. It could be a mere association. Itβs not an established experimental fact!
