Happy midweek π I'm still in a daze after losing one of my OG kittens (grown to be a wonderful cat mom) Nian. I was just looking at all their past photos and missing all those that have gone -- missing or otherwise passed on. π I think I'm slowly moving from the shock state to sadness now. I will miss Nian. She has favorite spots where I see her a lot during the day and night. The spots are now empty. Guess the cover photo pretty much represents how I feel at the moment. However, I'd like to look past all the pain and rather ask "what's the lesson here?" The year has practically just started and then this. It's like telling me to be on my toes, be mindful and alert. No matter, I now consider this year strange till it redeems itself.
Grieving is a process. So is healing. I guess from here I work on healing and more healing. π I know I will arrive at acceptance soon. It is what it is. Life and death go hand in hand. There are lots that need to be done. Plus there are other kitties to care for. One step at a time.. one day at a time. πβ€οΈπ‘

I like this quote from today. If only we could select leaders who will truly care for us. To be honest, I've pretty much given up on hoping for good governance in my country. The problem is deeply rooted in society itself. I suppose there is a need first to elevate the collective consciousness of the people so they could select the rightful leaders to run the country. I don't see that happening in the near future. It's local election year here too. I pray something good will happen and only good leaders will emerge. Not that I'm being pessimistic but fat chance of that happening. π We'll need a miracle for that to happen. π I will do my part in exercising my right to vote, but I can only do so much. Inshallah! I'll just keep praying for my country.
Here's a baby photo of Nian. I can't believe how time flew by too fast. I'm thankful for the four years that I have with her. She grew up to be pretty adventurous, and I had to rescue her three times when she was growing up. I'm grateful for the beautiful memories. β€οΈπ‘
Middle of the week. Yay, we're another day closer to the weekend. That's all I look forward to these days. π So many tasks waiting to be accomplished. They can wait as I can only do so much. π One step at a time.. one day at a time.. what's important is I'm moving forward no matter how slow.
