+++ Tuesday, and in my daily log, I still think that the anniversaries about #food catch my attention quite a bit. I know that there are many things in the anniversaries of #History for each day, and there are many serious and distinguished celebrations, but I have to admit that I have a marked preference for what has to do with eating (personal smile). Before getting into the topic of the day, I should say that my #life has been calm today, so there are no big things to comment on, no big changes in the general situation or the weather. That being the case, let's better move on to commenting on the fact that today (September 26) is 'Dumpling Day'.
+++ Martes, y en mi registro sigo pensando que me llaman la atención bastante las efemérides acerca de #Comida. Sé que hay muchas cosas en las efemérides de la #Historia para cada día, y hay muchas celebraciones serias y distinguidas, pero tengo que admitir que tengo una marcada preferencia por lo que tiene que ver con comer (sonrisa personal). Antes de entrar en el tema del día, debería decir que mi #vida ha estado tranquila el día de hoy, así que no hay grandes cosas que comentar, no hay grandes cambios en la situación general ni en el clima. Siendo así, mejor pasemos a comentar cobre que hoy (26 de septiembre) es el ‘Día del Dumpling’.

+++ A #dumpling would be the designation for a wide set of small-sized preparations, which generally consist of a dough wrapped on itself, with a filling, this filling can be sweet or salty, the most common in my memory being the fillings of poultry meat and vegetarian fillings. I considered that this dish was something very exclusive to #Chinese food, but today I learned that there are variations of this preparation that correspond to regions of Europe and America. However, today's date is celebrated by an initiative that has roots in China. In 2015, the Chinese food company 'TMI Food Group' proposed celebrating Dumpling, and after a few changes in the designation of the date, it was stipulated that it would be September 26.

A detail that caught my attention is that the company was not based in China, but was a North American company, born in New York's Chinatown, and has its current registered headquarters in Brooklyn. The name that this company had in the beginning was 'Twin Marquis', but now this family business was absorbed by TMI, and this group became its parent company.
+++ I enjoy remembering when I used to go (with my brothers, or cousins, or sister) to eat at a Chinese restaurant, decades ago. Among the starter #appetizers, there was always a variety of these dumplings, accompanied by different sauces. The crunchy flavor of the exterior, the moist, warm and juicy filling... in short, the memory makes me feel hungry, so I better wish you that you try these little sandwiches, that you are well and that we can read each other another time. Sorry for the quick exit, but I'm starving, and I'm going to take care of the food (apologetic smile).

El nombre que tenía esta compañía en sus inicios era ‘Twin Marquis’, pero ahora esta empresa familiar fue absorbida por TMI, y este grupo se convirtió en su casa matriz.

Entre los #aperitivos de entrada siempre estaban una variedad de estos dumplings, acompañados de distintas salsas. El sabor crujiente del exterior, el relleno húmedo, cálido y jugoso… en fin, que el recuerdo me hace sentir hambre, así que mejor te deseo que pruebes estos pequeños bocadillos, que estés bien y que nos podamos leer en otra oportunidad. Disculpa la salida rápida, pero de verdad me ha dado hambre y voy a encargarme de la comida (sonrisa de disculpa).
