Hello everyone, today is my eldest daughter's birthday. She is 27 years old now. She is now working as a chef in Bangkok. So I made a birthday card and sent it to her via Line in the afternoon. In the evening, we talked on the phone. When she was born, my wife and I were still working in Rayong and would go home once a month because we had to take a bus from Photharam to Bangkok and then transfer to Ekkamai to go to Rayong. We had to live like this for many years. At first, my wife cried every day because she missed our daughter. But because we had to work to earn money and let our grandparents take care of her.
When she was about three years old, we were able to buy a used Toyota pickup truck, so we could go home every Saturday evening. Every time we came back home, we would sleep together and I would tell her a story before bed. On Sundays, we would take her to different places, such as the zoo and shopping malls. We only had the chance to be together 4-5 days a month.
When she was three years old, she had to go to kindergarten. At that time, my grandfather was still strong, so he drove her a motorcycle to take her to school and picked her up every evening. Until she was 12 years old, I came back to work in Nakhon Pathom, which was close to home. So I could take her to school in the morning and pick her up in the evening as usual.
When she finished high school, she was ranked second in the Faculty of Biology at Silpakorn University, but she decided to study cooking at Dusit Thani University, a private university. But because of her interests, my wife and I decided to follow her wishes because when I was a child, I wanted to study very much, but my parents did not have the money to send me to school. So I had to work since I was 16 years old and studied while working. It was non-formal education until I finished high school, then studied for an associate degree and finally graduated with a bachelor's degree. I am proud of him for being responsible, not naughty, and not causing me and my wife any suffering in various matters. Nowadays, I see him growing up and having a good job. As a parent, I am happy. No matter how old my child is, he is still my child because I am old. But my parents still love and care about me all the time.
Thank you to all my friends who have supported me.
Happy birthday to the lovely girl! She’s so lucky to have a very warm and loving family.
