I don't know if they use the leaves from there. Years ago there was an issue because some said that the water was polluted and it was also sewage water. I don't know if it really is that way. What I know is that there are some ponds where those lotuses are specially cultured.Hey @rarej,
Didn't mean specifically from there, just a reference to the type of leaf. But it makes sense. Removing the leaves from the center would also damage the tourist aesthetic of the area.
