It likely could, though I wonder if our internet connection is stable enough for it to work. Also I don't think that running my Qortal node along side a Hive witness or Hive-Engine witness node would go very well. If I ran a Hive witness node, I'd want to run a Hive-Engine witness node too, which makes the situation even more untenable. π π π β¨ π€

I really think that a Hive Witness node and a #HiveEngine Witness node should be run on separate servers. π€ It's because a problem with one node that hogs up the resources (CPU, RAM, and storage) of the server will definitely affect the other node on the same server. π€―
Besides that, two separate VPS instances (in case of those who either don't have a device or don't decide to run their device 24/7) are generally cheaper than a single one with double the resources. π€
Well, yes, ideally that would be the case. As much as I love Hive, and want to run nodes, it is just not at all feasible for me presently, as much as I wish it were.
That option is also not presently feasible for me, sadly, plus I don't trust most big tech anything, so I'd want them running on my own hardware. π π π β¨ π€

There are a lot of small (and medium) hosts out there which offer VPS hosting powerful enough to host a Hive (and #HiveEngine) Witness node, such as #Privex. π€ If Privex can offer a VPS powerful enough to host a Hive Witness node for as low as $40 per month, then other (small and medium) hosts would also offer similar hosting for more or less that price. π

Indeed, and it's even more concerning the Privex data centers in both Sweden and Finland were raided, which shut down multiple Hive nodes. That's yet another reason why I will only run nodes on my own hardware.
