Hi guys... So I'm taking a liking to being consistent with my alive publication every Monday, seems a pretty convenient time for me to shout out to all hive communities.
I went on a run today and I'm settled to type. I feel like my bones and joints have just been reactivated and the blood in my veins flowing beat after beat. So yes I am alive.
A lot has happened during the week since my last #iamalivechallenge publication, some beautiful and until yesterday not very pleasant which is a motivation for my next article Childbirth mortality. Got an exciting call that a friend had put to bed an beautiful baby boy, as expected we were all excited and thanking God for safe delivery right? Well not too long barely an hour, we got a call again that the infant was no more.
Many things were spinning round my head like for instance, how would the news hit the mother who was cut open to deliver the baby (yes it was a caesarian section). Imagine the hopes for nine months, the unpleasant nights and sacrifices she had succumbed to. Now packing her bags to the hospital and lying on that bed to allow herself to be sliced with the doctors knife, only to wake up and ask for her baby and....
My spirit was sunken.
In this modern age I feel we should have gone past these times. Its such a fearful thing for expectant mothers the day of delivery around these parts. The clerical ones feed off it planting ideas of visions and prophecies in the heads of couples sometimes ends up inciting conflicts amongst extended families or sometimes just self hate.
It ought not to be so.
Well, away from the sad sides, service in church yesterday was awesome. I am lucky to have a young pastor shepherding my church and he's been such a blessing m, inspiration and motivation to the young minds in his assembly.
He practically spent the half of yesterdays sermon kicking against illegal vices as is almost becoming the norm for youths in the country. He's a certified programmer and in as much as he is using words to encourage and stop these social vices he's also been involved in a team of developers who have just recently created a network that'd fish out offenders involved in any form of cybercrime.
Such a joy right?
While making my runs something of note caught my attention. Massive erosion that seems to be tearing away the very little road the government of the day had bequeathed us with. And it got me thinking why this error. Well I guess that's gonna be a discussion in another article I hope to write about soon.
This is about much of the highlights for this morning. You should try a jog or a mere road walk just to keep fit. You'd be amazed the amount of unintentional calories you'd have accumulated in a while that needs burning out.
