RE: I Am #AliveAndThriving Today! || #IAmAliveChallenge || Daily Off-Grid Jungle Journal Entry: Day #301 - The Value of the Hive Blockchain Ecosystem - GaiaYoga Gardens, Lower Puna, Far East Big Island, Hawai'i - Wednesday, May 24, 2023

Interesting thoughts! I'm not sure the cost of a Hive token has any relation to the value of Hive the blockchain. The value comes from what you can do with it (the blockchain, not the token) - post your ideas and creations, interact with people from all over the world, get inspiration and knowledge from other people's posts, play games, and yes buy and sell and earn various tokens, and so much more.

The more I think about it, the less certain I am that the cost of anything is really related to its value! I can pick up a second hand paperback copy of a book for 50 cent, or a used hardcover for $2. Or pay $25+ for a new hardcover of the same book. The value of the contents of the book doesn't change because of what I paid for it though. It doesn't even have a set value, because even if I think it's a good book, someone else might not like it.

Indeed, I agree with that! I'd say both the Blockchain and the tokens are more inherently valuable than any fiat currency, regardless of HIVE/HBD's assessed value in those currencies. True value very rarely seems to lines up with monitary value at any particular time, in most things, I've found. Your book example hits it right on the head! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
