I had two wonderful surprises of the financial variety this morning, one on Hive, and the other in my daily life. I finally got around to assessing my fiat finances, and lo and behold, I found that I did actually have enough to be able to buy a new replacement laptop, for the one that died a week ago today. This is excellent news indeed! I don't usually buy extended hardware warranties, but given how harsh this environment tends to be on technology, I'll be doing it this time around. I just need to make a little bit more fiat money to cover that, and the hefty shipping to Hawai'i, but I'm basically ready to go.
Now my main challenge is finding or making the time necessary to actually look for a new laptop. I started last night, with my first attempt, at least. I did find one seemingly good one, but I intend to explore and search much more closely very soon, because I want to be clear and solid in my decision, given how much money it costs, and how important it is to me for my daily operations. I'm excited, though, because I know that it won't be long before I have another functional system with which to work. I'm just very discerning/picky about hardware technology, so this process will take patience.
Hive.Trading. There are four different bot profiles from which to choose, and without a lot of information on the site, with details on each profile, I've been testing each one out for a month. The first month I tried the Market Maker profile, with unclear and I conclusive results. This time around I'm trying out the Scalpy profile, which I only activated a few days ago. When I took a peek at how it was doing this morning, I was elated to see that it had indeed made more than I had before it started. The initial experimentation fund was 5 HIVE and 1.06 HBD, which the Market Maker bot seemed unable to grow in any notable way. When I checked on the Scalpy bot, I found that I now had 5.906 HIVE and 1.160 HBD, so a nice jump!The other nifty surprise was when I checked on the @mmb-dontations account, which I've been using to experiment with automated AI-bot trading via
No, it's certainly not a lot, but that wasn't the purpose of this experiment. I wanted to see which bot profile is able to consistently and reliably grow my assets over time. Once I have clarity around this, then I'll invest a larger chunk, and let the bot have fun doing it's thing. The fact that I found a bot profile that works as intended is glorious.
Once my four-month, and four-bot, assessment is completed, I have pretty solid feeling that this automated AI-bot trading will become another main source of assets and income in my Hive Multi-Stream Passive-Income Machine. Another good source for HIVE and HBD is always a good thing, and I'm happy to do the foot work and experimenting for you, so that you don't have to spend the time doing it yourself, which will allow you, if you so choose to give this sort of trading a try, to hit the ground running. As soon as I see clearly which bot profile works the best, I'll also begin implenting it in my token management for the We Are Alive Tribe, to create yet another income source for our community.
Yesterday, Tuesday, I left the Flow House, after finishing up my Hive tasks, just a little after 2PM, focusing first on photography for these posts. Thankfully I was able to get a nice batch of shots, including some for my entry in the Shadow Hunters Contest. When I had that done to my satisfaction, I strained and blended kefir (kefir-honey-cinnamon-cacao) in the Landing, after which I took a short token-management break up at the Flow House. With token management handled, I got my machete and collected a wheelbarrow full of assorted edible foliage for cow-milking food, helped Melekai and Bob (a new fellow who's been staying at GaiaYoga) transport a stove on a dolly/hand-truck down the jungly trail from the Kuti to the truck at the head of the trail, and finally I did the dry-goods order in Tutu's. I wrapped up all my community tasks by 5PM, took a shower, made myself one of my yummy grilled-cheese in the Landing, and with that and my jar of leftover superfood fire coffee in hand, I headed back to the Flow House, to dive into my evening Hive tasks, and to catch up on my notifications. I got everything done by around 10:45PM, and after some token management, and a scan of my X feed, I went to bed about 12:30AM. I did thankfully sleep well, waking up around 6:30AM, doing more token management, starting on this post, and then getting out of bed just before 8AM, to go make my superfood fire coffee in the Landing, and then a short time later, to milk Daisy with Jo. As soon as I had milking done, I returned to the Flow House to write this post. It's now just before 12:15AM, so a marvelous time to end this post, so that I may get to my few other important Hive tasks, before preparing for my session with Riana at 1:30PM. 2025 Life Goals
1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.
2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.
3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.
4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.
