Everything that happened to me today is an indication of the phrase. I don't even know when to start but all I know is that I have confirmed that it is not over until it is over.
Today started with a lots of activities though expected but not as expected. Hehehe, don't be confused.
The CDS Saga
Early this morning, I was skeptical about going for CDS as I will be passing out next week but to fulfil all righteousness, I decided to go not knowing what lies ahead of me. It all started from the water hunt. 😂😂😂. I have to wake up early around 6am to look for water in this Enugu or you will have to wait till evening time or probably another day.
God so good, I woke up late 😃😃😃 and I had to start looking for water everywhere but finally I got two bucket that I can manage for the day. (Don't even blame at all, if you know how water is scarce here, you will understand that two bucket of water is enough for the day) 💦💦
On my way back home, I met some of my colleagues in the CDS who informed me that we are to put on 7/7. 7/7 means complete NYSC kit. At first, it's funny because I have made up my mind that the last time I will be wearing that khaki will be during my passing out and nothing more but the directory came as a surprise.
Even though, it came as a surprise, I was still in my black trouser and Ash colour shirt. I mean the clothes that I already planned.
On getting to the secretariat, I was not allowed to enter because I was not wearing my khaki. I did not feel bad though, maybe I am stubborn but I did not have the intention of attending the CDS before so they just made the work easier for me and fortunately, the time clashes with another meeting so I just find a cool place to sit down and joined the meeting that I would have missed because of the CDS. ✔️✔️✔️
After the CDS, I was allowed because I have to take a class for the SAED training.
The training took some time and I got home very late.
On my way back home, I was already thinking of what to do and how to do it but I later decided to complete a book which I was supposed to complete tomorrow.
Since the beginning of this year, I have been reading three books in a months with the mindset of completing each of them on the 10th, 20th and last day of the month respectively. For the past four periods, I have been faithful to the deadline and I just completed 5 Second Rule by Mel Robbins.
After reading I decided to call a friend and she narrated how she has not been motivated to do anything since morning. She told me that she has not crossed anything out from her to do list but she ended the conversation with, "it is not over until it is over". Yeah, that was the exact word she said.
My Part
What happened at the CDS today is a confirmation. Until I receive my discharge certificate, I am still a corper.
This post is another confirmation. It was meant to be posted on Wednesday but it might be few minutes before the end of the day as I have just 10minutes to the end of the day. 11:50pm (GMT+1)
Your pick
Why do you think the only way to end what you wanted to do is to quit?
Never forget, it is not over until it is over.
Till I cross your path again, I am like a ready made pen in the hand of the creator. I am
