Hello family. How are you doing today? I hope you had a wonderful Wednesday as I certainly did.
Today as any other Wednesday, I did not hesitate to take my walk. Even though it delayed because I had somewhat a very tight schedule today. For some time now, I have thought of embarking on a real estate journey. I have realized that the real estate industry in Northern Ghana is still a virgin. I thought it wise to go on a real estate hunting spree while having my Wednesday walk.
I chose the perfect location for that which is the area called Naa Luro Estate. Naa Luro was one of the founding fathers of the Dagomba ethnic group who later became the paramount chief of Dagbon. The story is told of him to have been the only Chief to be enskinned on more than 35 different thrones of different Dagomba lands until ultimately he became the paramount chief. The estate was named in order to honor him such that his name shall never be lost in the good books of our Kingdom.
The area is known to have some of the most luxurious hotels and houses. To make it a complete residential area, there are schools, worship centers and basically anything to make life comfortable. I started my walk on one of the principal streets in the area. At the time of the day I started the walk, the road was somehow busy so I had to divert and start using the streets in between the houses.
The first building that caught my attention was a hotel. It is called Modern City Hotel. It is in fact one of the biggest and most luxurious hotels you can find here with almost a thousand rooms, a well-constructed poolside, a state of the art restaurant and some other beautiful amenities. The street I ended up on was actually behind the hotel so I could not get a clear view of the entrance but it was great I ended up on that street. There was another beautiful mansion behind the hotel. I was told it belongs to one Minister of State. It is a six-bedroom apartment with a pool and summer-hut.
One thing you can notice in the environment is how the dry season has taken full effect. The leaves of trees are completely dried now and bushes are being burned everywhere to leave the land barren for the next cultivation season. For some of us, one reason why we hate this season is how dried our bodies become leading to cracks on our feet. Currently I use a rough stone on my feet after every shower, apply shear butter afterwards and then wear a sock-stuff.
Using that same street, I came across a warehouse which was still under construction. Even though it I was still under construction, it looked as though it would be used for storing food products such as maize, millet, sorghum and rice. With how large it is, I am sure the foods that will be stored there will be of great benefit to us.
Continuing my walk, I came across a very simple yet very beautiful house. I could not help myself but take so many pictures infront of it. The only thing left of it was for the owner to move in. I was told it is a four-bedroom apartment with a two-room boys’ cottage.
I came across so many building but the final one that caught my eye was also a newly constructed one. A box-house for that matter. When I saw it, all I did was to say a word of prayer to God that he blesses me with such a stunning home and even more. What made it stand-out was the different flowers planted in and around the house. Even though other flowers elsewhere might have withered by now, they made sure they were still fresh and growing. I could not get details of the building as there was no one around.
At this point, I got really tired and time was far spent as well so I had to end my walk. I wish to continue touring many other neighborhoods later as this will help broaden my thoughts and ideas on what to look out for in the real estate industry.
Thank you very much for reading this post. I really appreciate your support.
Your Friend………… Abdul-Rashid.
Thanks for joining the Wednesday, I always love seeing all the walks shared from around the world, but as I am not getting out for as many walks at the moment because of feeling the cold I am especially loving the walks all around the world its like a virtual world tour
Aww I hope the cold subsides soon.
Thanks so so much for the vote and support. I really appreciate it. 🤗💫
Most welcome
and were going to have a few more months of even colder weather, but I got some new boots so hopefully I will get out for some walks
Months ? 😲
Oh then you're well prepared to have your walks despite the cold weather
Indeed or at least I hope so :)
I’m glad you were able to take a walk round your area. Walks like this really takes of some pressure.
Exactly. It's needed after a hard day's work
