On February 17, 2024 I started this trip from home using a two-wheeled vehicle. Not only alone but I was accompanied by a friend when I went to visit the samuderai pasai monument.

The Samuderai Pasai Monument is located in Beuringin/Geudong Village, North Aceh Regency, Indonesia. It was built in 2011 with the aim of commemorating the history of the kingdom named Sultan Malikussaleh in 1267 AD. There is no charge to enter into this monument only we pay for vehicle parking around IDR. 2,000 - Rp. 5,000.

This is the front view or the main door to enter the inside of the monument building. It is clear that this monument is made with a total of three levels. The first level is like a tower that has a height of approximately 15 meters. The second level of the monument building does not have a roof, but is surrounded by a guardrail and has a floor. The first level of the building has a room, floor and several doors, windows and is surrounded by a guardrail.

Side view. I see that the monument building actually has the same shape in each of its parts when viewed from the outside. As for the inside of the museum, I saw several rooms but I can't share them with you because the monument guards are prohibiting visitors from entering the inside of the monument because there are building repairs going on.

In the outer courtyard of the monument there are several small buildings that have domes at the top. The floors of all the museum buildings are made of ceramic tiles.

In my opinion this monument building seems to lack maintenance, I saw in some parts of the outer courtyard of the monument the floor was overgrown with grass and there were puddles of water. I don't know why a building this good is not well maintained. I hope that in the future this monument will be better maintained, so that it will be visited by many domestic and foreign tourists.

Well friends, that's the story of the trip and some photos of the samudera pasai monument building that I visited a few months ago. If you visit this monument, I recommend going in the morning or evening, so that you can see clearly around the monument.

All images are my own and were taken using a Samsung Galaxy A72 mobile phone camera. All words or sentences, I first wrote in the smart phone notes application in Indonesian, then I translated using the application DeepL.
