Late Night Walks From Downtown Going Home Ft. Quests for Food

Hello, hivers! How's life going? I hope you still keep on hanging on there and doing your best everyday because I'm also doing so.

Anyway, for today's blog, I want to share another late night walks adventure I had just recently. It's a pleasure to post it here as an entry for the #WednesdayWalk which is initiated by Sir @tattoodjay.

Recently, I've been going late at night around 9:00 pm because my work schedule has been changed due to my training for upskilling. It's a waste to decline such opportunity, so I willingly attended everyday lessons. The duration of the training will be a week and that means, I would be absent in school since it's conflicting with my training schedule.

I have to sacrifice my studies again for the meantime to take the opportunity of having a long term gain. Anyway, that's okay, my Professors are considerate and my classmates are helpful. They'll just send me a message to inform me if there's something that I can help with some projects and they will take care of the rest.

That's why I often ended up walking late at night. My training starts at 1:00 pm and ends at 9:00 pm. Additionally, I have to commute twice but sometimes if it's very late, there's no public transportation anymore. It's either I have to wait longer to catch a ride or I have to walk from downtown going home.

Fortunately, the Patata waits for me when my shift ends, so I have a company going home because it's very dangerous walking alone in the night. Just like what happened last night, there's no jeepney anymore and if we have to book a taxi or Grab Car, it would be much expensive. Consequently, we choose to walk back home and spent the money on coffee and foods.

On our first turn, we walked passed by this small cafe near a mall and it's called D'Urban Cafe. I bought Coffee Capuccino with coffee jelly add ons, and the Patata bought Coffee Matcha, so we would have something drink while walking.

On our second turn, we've come near the Negros Cyber Center and on the corner of that building, there's a Jolibee branch. Since I haven't eaten my dinner yet, we stopped by the chain for a while and order some takeouts.

This branch is open around the clock everyday since they have customers from the employees of the building. There's a BPO company there, ESL, and back office jobs. I might try applying here next time, so it would be near my place if I won't be too lazy to process my documents. Anyway, I'm all good with my current employment, so I guess I would have to think about that carefully.

And from this point, it's now near the Libertad Market. We're going to walk one last street here and we could get home by then. Even though it was long walk, I'm not feeling tired by it because I find it enjoyable. I got think about things and talk about my thoughts or just talk randomly about anything. That's the beauty of walking, you got to clear out the clutters of your mind, have an exercise, and bond with your company.

I do really hope that my training would take longer so I can always have moments like this, but that would take a portion of my salary and incentives. I'll just wait for next time. Anyway, thanks for reading my late night walks. It's nice to share some adventures here in our favorite walking community.
