So I had a Wednesday walk again ^^ And this time, I went to see the Pokémon fest! This thing first popped up in mall of Asia but I was so busy then that I couldn't make the time to go see it. But from what I heard, it was far bigger than the one here. I don't have much to do at the lab today so I actually took an undertime leave and that's how I got the time to roam around south mall XD I usually am a festival mall girl, but I will make exception for Pokémon
Now I'm mostly only familiar with the Pokémon characters until the 6th generation so these starters are ones I don't even know but I saw that they're the current starters for the most recent generation.
Of course, you can never omit Pikachu from all of this XD and I think these figures were based on the series now. And I haven't watched the series since Pokémon Dawn was the trainer. I think that was the last one I saw aside frim the holiday specials XD
They also had this small game corner where they were showing off the Pokémon switch remakes and I'm sort of iffy with the remakes because I loved my pixelated games too much to even switch to the smoother graphics. But I get that people do love the upgrade and what sells, sells so I'm not gonna be so hungover on the remake. Cuz I did almost buy a switch for the remake of Pokémon sun and moon since that one had a really nice and interactive remake.
There was also this ominous mega pika I loved and of course it would take center stage in all of this mess XD
Then there was sooo much licensed merchandise OwO I would have bought something but they didn't have the ones I like. I did like snom but probably not enough to buy. I also saw a Lucario doll but it just didn't appeal to me enough for me to buy it. I did see a fluffy ursa-chan and a whole wall of pikachu. I think if I saw a mimikyu, I would have bought that one because I love mimikyu XD and it's fake pikachu costume
I also saw cards, and more merch, more figures and it brought me back to my figure collecting days where I almost completed the original 151 Pokémon from the 1st Gen XD
Then here's me giving pikachu a high five ^^
I also saw one of the most aesthetic and most appealing food court I have ever seen. It looks so much relaxing than the thing they did in SM Pampanga and mall of Asia and I think this might be he future for food courts in the philippines, and damn we need to stop fueling the shallowness and the core, please. But also I'm not surprised because Philippine mall culture is something else entirely, I swear.
I also saw cute snake UwU since it is the year of the snake
Then I grabbed me a little snack from a cafe. It wthe afternoon so no more coffee for me for my mirienda. All in all, today was a nice Wednesday walk ^^ I hope something pops up for me next Wednesday so I can have a bit more adventure.
I ended up showing a bit of my Pokémon nerd side there. Not ashamed or anything, but I guess really loved Pokémon to that extent XD
Well, this is all from me for today. I'm still at the Cafe and I will have to get back to the dorm.
Thanks so much for taking a glimpse of what my Wednesday was like today! How was your wednesday?
I imagine it must have been a great experience, all the photos turned out too great, I really liked the Squirtle plush😍
Oh it was definitely fun! i spent a good hour or so just going through the merch and the displays
Yes, it seems that event was impressive 😄
I never really got into Pokemon myself but they have some real cool characters that you share with us here
Thanks for joining the Wednesday walk and have a good day
i get that some would prefer digimons then some just didn't have the interest for the creatures at all. To each a different childhood experience but this definitely made up most of my childhood 🤗
Hope your Wednesday is doing good?
Why these type of event isn't like this in my country T_T T_T
I dunno dear ;;-;; but almost every event in my country is this grand
Here, The stuff are more artisanal, small entrepreneurs make articles to sell, cosplay, and videogames Tournaments
that's a different kind of cool in itself though 😮 this i would love to see instead of generic merchandise
of i would definitely enjoy this more 🤣 it's way more interactive and less of just watching and i like that
Yeah, although is more focused in countries like Japan, China or South Korea subcultures
