This Heat That Will Kill Us All

in Wednesday Walk4 days ago

The city where I live is big, far too big for the needs I have now. I like to walk and have hundreds of places in front of me where I can do this, and yet, only a few have been chosen to be favorites and used a lot.

I would love each walk to be unique and I would love even more to be able to present them here, through photos, with all that is special about them.

It doesn't happen like that in life, most of my walks are in only a few places and I'm forced to repeat myself here and make an effort to make it clear that these are new walks and not recycling older posts.

There's not much left to do but to find new approaches to old places.

Once again in Circus Park on an unplanned walk.

Circus

I've written about this park dozens of times but I don't think I've said why it's called that.

Well, on the outskirts of the park is a strange warmth that hosts the Metropolitan Circus, as it is called now, in the past, when Romania was a communist state, it was called the State Circus.

IMG_0097.jpg

In front of the circus is a group of statues celebrating circus artists and Prince Rainier of Monaco, a great friend and supporter of circus around the world.

IMG_0098.jpg

The classic image of a circus is that of a huge tent in which the artists perform and I don't know if many circuses in the world can fit in a heavy concrete and glass construction.

The park

The park is medium-sized, in a central area of the city, surrounded by high blocks and busy boulevards.

The park occupies quite a large area where land is expensive and many would have wanted to develop neighborhoods and blocks. As luck would have it, this park is old, so later they could only build around it.

This oasis of greenery in the middle of the city is a blessing for the nearby residents and not only (that is for those like me who live far away from this place).

IMG_0103.jpg

IMG_0104.jpg

It is a beneficial place for both humans and animals.

My favorite spot here is the pond in the middle of the park.

IMG_0115.jpg

This small lake is home to a lot of small animals and waterfowl and it is a delight to sit and watch them. This time I didn't do that, I focused more on the landscape and the people.

IMG_0118.jpg

I used to stand further away and photograph people.

I'm lucky enough to always see something special that attracts me on every walk. This time it was this lady who chose to sit out and read.

A book, a coffee, the lake, and a warm day in the middle of winter. What could be more pleasant? I have great pleasure in seeing people who still read books. Here it is not clear whether it is a book or a phone, but I want to believe that it is a book.

The remarkable and strange part of this walk was... the weather! The end of January, the middle of a winter where we haven't seen snow yet, yesterday, January 29 it was 19 degrees Celsius!

Where will this climate madness stop?

President Trump is helping to accelerate global warming...
What does he care, he's 78! I'm not much younger, but I'm thinking about the children and grandchildren. All the children in the world.

A few years ago a book called "This Heat That Will Kill Us All" was published!!!

Just for fun... I wasn't sure about the president's age so I asked GPT-40 Mini:

GPT-4o Mini
Hello, how can I help you today
?

How old is President Trump?

GPT-4o Mini
Donald Trump was born on June 14, 1946. If we are in the year 2023, he is 77 years old.

Hahaha!

I always start with photos when I want to write a blog. Photos remind me of places, events, and feelings that turn into words...

Since we all love photography, let’s explore the captivating details captured in these photos.!

A wise saying goes that a photograph is worth a thousand words, but I don't think so.

It depends on the viewer.

Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss.

Wednesday Walk, every Wednesday, like this one today. This is one of the recommendations made by @tattoodjay for those who prefer walking and are used to sharing impressions and photos in his community,

Brother, happy to greet you!. In my ignorance I thought that for these dates all the countries of Europe were very cool, but I see the greenery of the plants and what you describe and wow it is noticeable that it is hot, although I also read what you write about Trump at the end, and well, it is not only him, even many young people do not think ahead... Anyway, I loved the pictures, and even if it's not a new place you walk around and share on Hive, for me they are wonderful scenes, and places I would like to walk around. I love walking on the edge of small lakes and sitting around chatting with my wife, but here it's really hot hahaha. I enjoyed the walk with you, a hug in the distance Mister Blue Moon 🙏

Thank you very much, Jesus Armando!
I enjoyed reading everything you have put here.
Unfortunately, young people do not understand what trap they are being led into(trap, Trump sounds about the same). Trump is doing the whole world a great disservice by trying to gain the sympathy of young people who do not know the past. Unfortunately, at this moment we cannot do anything to correct this.
The solution is to try to live according to our principles and enjoy everything good and beautiful around us.

the place is really beautiful, very relaxing, just like the woman sitting down there, she is truly enjoying the surroundings while reading, she is completely stress-free. It's a nice place for someone like me who wants to relax, this is the perfect place to visit. Thank you for sharing.

With pleasure! Sorry it's so far away from where you live...

yes, that's okay. I really dream that someday I can travel to other places, because I'm always at home and my work is only at home. I am very amazed by you all here at the same time i feel envious and wonder when I will be able to travel like they do.

I wish with all my heart that it happens! I believe it will, because you want it so much.

The same thing happens to me, seeing people reading a book wherever I go surprises me, in Argentina that didn't happen and here it does, in the parks, squares and even on the beach... what a beautiful walk and I loved the circus sculptures!

It's nostalgia for me, because now I can't find time for reading.
Congratulations on the worldmappin award, but more for the effort and time you spend here. Surely you will be rewarded for that even more in the future!

Sometimes I don't find the time for it either, although I read a lot, probably not as much as I would like to.

Thank you very much, it was exciting to win the prize and I will take it very happily, thank you!🤗

Congratulations once again!

🤗🤗

Good place to come

Glad to hear that, thanks!
