#wednesdaywalk: Zaque's cushions [ES/EN]

in Wednesday Walklast year (edited)
Hello to all Wednesday walkers. :D This day I want to show you the place where I arrived with my partner on a walk. We took pictures of one of the most mysterious places in the city. We walked a long way to get up here, but we got to see this place that we wanted to know because of its history and that we had only read about in books:

Although there are no reliable documents that explain its meaning, it is said by tradition and historical conjecture that it was designed by the Muisca people as a center of worship to the sun, where ceremonies were held around astronomical cycles.

It is formed by two circular monoliths of approximately one meter in diameter and twenty centimeters in height, together they are aligned to the east and have a carved slope in its western part, so people associate it to the shape of a cushion.

It is preserved as part of the historical heritage of the city. Its shape and origin are an unsolved enigma, it felt strange to be there, a bit of a chill; also the small sloping hill on which it was located gave me a bit of vertigo.

Since I migrated to this city I have found many curious places like this and most of them are ancient, that's why they call it "the city of hidden treasures".
