In theory yes, when things are frozen the wind tends to blow and it blows the cold air from just the surface of the frozen rivers and lakes around which does make it colder. There's a few factors there but it's one of the reasons I don't ice fish LOL it's soooooo cold when the lake is frozen and you're sitting there not moving hoping for a fish to bite and that bone chilling cold air blows through. It's a wild feeling!
It was a mild winter but I've had plenty of those growing up. Things fluctuate and we could have a bitter winter the next 4-5 years, impossible to say how it will be.
It's always about 36 to 38 degree Celsius here, the hottest in probably any African country, so yeah, sometimes some things are difficult when the weather becomes severe. I have a medical condition where I cannot be where it's severely cold, so that's why I'm imagining how cold it's going to be when the lakes freezes
Ah that’s not good man! Ya we get to -20 to -30 Celsius regularly here lol but you get used to it. It usually doesn’t last more than a few days at those temps, sometimes a week but never consistently more than 2 weeks without a warning period.
The fun thing to do at those temps is to take boiling hot water and toss it in the air it freezes instantly and makes some snow lol
