Hello Hivers Happy Wednesday to all of you. Today I'll take you on a walk I did last year in July to the Mall of America in Bloomington, MN. This is the largest mall in America and it was last listed as the 11th largest in the world. I was up there for the weekend for one of my son's basketball tournaments. This was the third time I visited this place. I went there in 1993 a year after it opened and again 2018. Each time it was a bit different.

So the first night (Friday) the team met up at Buffalo Wild Wings for a little team dinner. I will say I was not into blogging at this time and didn't take a lot of shots. I did take these two because I enjoyed the beauty from the third floor. Sparkles and butterflies look pretty cool right?

My favorite part about this mall is the indoor amusement park. It makes up 7 acres of space for just this. There is a plenty for the kids to do here. This area is usually crammed with people but I took these pictures at around 7:00 in the morning many of the plus 500 stores that are in the mall were not even open yet. I remember the first time coming here in 1993 I thought to myself how cool is it to have an amusement park inside a mall. That was a long time ago I'm sure there are a few malls that have similar attractions now but at the time it was probably one of the first, at least with the size of this one.

Like many malls they are packed with several food choices. This one is no different. They have just about anything imaginable from fast food to sit and order. One of my favorites was finding a place that served lobster rolls it just not something we get the opportunity to eat in the Midwest. Later on I got some desert from The Cold Stone Creamery 😋

The first photo is the Lego area they had on display near the Lego store. That blue Robot is 34 feet tall. Not a Lego person but that's got to be one of the biggest Lego models out there. I took a few photos of store fronts not due to interest just did so. The video I took is a short walk I did in the mall. Each floor with the exception of the 4th floor is just over a mile in circumstance. So if you want to see everything from the outside plan on walking 4 miles. I'll admit I did get lost one of the times I visited. I learned to take a picture of where I started so when I came to directory I could find my way back, haha. I'd probably say I walked 4 miles the two days I visited there this last time.

This mall also has a good sized aquarium too. I didn't visit it this last time I visited. It contains a variety marine life both fresh water and salt water. Things such as sharks, ray, turtles, jelly fish, and many others. At 70,000 square feet of room and over million gallons of water it's not a tiny aquarium.

When we were not at the Mall or at a basketball game we spent our time in our hotel suite. We stayed at the Embassy Suites by Hilton and it was about a mile away from the mall. Very nice hotel and having a room over 400 square feet was nice. The last picture was my last of the trip. A little Sunday breakfast before we left for a five hour drive home. The video I took is that of the room we stayed in.

I hope you found this interesting I'm not a huge shopper but it was nice seeing an enormous mall with so much to do. We all had a good trip this weekend out. This is my submittal for #wenesdaywalk initiated by @tattoodjay. Take care, be safe and enjoy the rest of your week.

Amusement park has stolen the limelight. Even I was seeing the comment section, everyone is talking about it. By the way why you took long gap means you have visited from 1993 to 2023? May be you are not living near to it? Hehehe

It's five hours from me. I had to have purpose to go there, didn't just go for shopping, hehe. I went 1993, 2018, and this was 2022. Ya the amusement park is it's fame.

How are you dear friend @coolmidwestguy good afternoon
What a beautiful place you have visited, the shopping center is really huge, and the services they offer seem very good to me
I appreciate that you have shared this experience and the beautiful shots that you have taken

No problem and thanks for stopping by :)

OMG the largest in America! I get tired after a shopping day in a normal size mall, I can't imagine there!!! 😅
Happy day amigo!

The mall in Chicago is enormous too I here. Did you visit it?

Yes there is one big, not sure if it is which one you think... but I didn't go much I directly went to the Magnificent Mile = Michigan Avenue and downtown, etc.
Sometimes malls are too much jaja

I don't go to to them much id rather go to an individual store. Im a man I know what I want and I usually get it and go. Unless if I'm looking at tools, fishing, camping or hunting stuff than I will take my time !LOLZ

i dont usually go to the mall but seeing this mall with lots of amusement inside, I don't mind going hahaha!

It's a mall for all I guess, definitely more to do than just shop 😁

Shopping malls are maybe not my favourite places but those hanging butterflies are so cute 😇

Yes they were pretty neat finding them, one of the first things I seen in the mall :)

The first word I can utter is "Wow", I was amazed bob that I can't imagined this kind of mall. How I wish I can visit it lol😁...in my dreams hahaha.

Goodnight Bob and keep safe always...

There are some good size malls in PH. I think I seen two in the top 10. This one I think has the largest amusement park still. Nothing quite like shopping and hearing a roller coaster

You have a good night and great day tomorrow:)

7 acres does amusement park? Wow! That's so big and for sure there are lots of things kids can do here and enjoy so much.

That's the largest mall in America, for sure you need more than a day just to visit every thing in there.

Yes definitely more than a day. Yes the amusement park is kind of the big draw there. Wear comfortable shoes not sandles hehe.

It's amusing how MSP (the airport) is like a mini-Mall of America.

Mall of America is really hard to complete everything in one day. Prices are not crazy, but if you're expecting to find deals, you're going to be sorely disappointed. Better deals can be had in the Skyway in Downtown MPLS, which is a bit quirky and extensive. However, you can get a full weekend of entertainment there in Bloomington. You can go to the indoor water park at the Radisson right by the Mall, do all of the Mall activities and take the light rail up to Downtown to do whatever you want there.

Minneapolis is a city built with the knowledge that it is going to be cold from October-April. You can basically get by living there without ever stepping outside during the winter. Then when it warms up you can explore everything else and go to Twins games.

I've been to the Twins game and also a Vikings game both at the Metro Dome. I haven't been to the airport I'm close to Omaha so a drive aways. We stayed one time near the airport can't remember the name of the place but it was a dive. Yes the cold places usually have a lot to do inside during the frigid cold. Thanks for your words, your right about finding good deals in the mall. They get so many tourists there why lower the prices, lol.
