Walking along the forest of Tuyen Lam lake - Da Lat and searching.

in Wednesday Walk2 years ago

Near the place where I work, there is an ecological lake, which is also the largest natural lake in Da Lat city. Because the lake's surface stretches along the isthmus, it therefore has roads running along the lake's edge along the roadside eco-resorts. Viewed from above, most of the lake is surrounded by pine forests with very little touch of modern concretization. I think the asphalt roads are suitable for bicycles and cars, walking along it is often haunting with large touring cars and bends out of sight. Although there are no trails close to the water for walking, the sparse pine forest is easy to navigate.

I need to take a short walk and stop wherever I feel comfortable. There is not much plant and animal diversity in the pine forest, does the pine tree secrete something detrimental to other vegetation or does it simply block the light of other plants through the leaves? falling continuously with each wind.

Because of the preeminent popularity of the surrounding pine forests, it helps me focus more on different things. I felt calm attention in the search for other plants. One of them is mushrooms.

Da Lat's rainy season starts from April to October, there have been some rains that signal the coming rainy season a few days ago. At this time, only a few types of mushrooms are scattered before the start of the wild mushroom picking season of the local people around the area. I have no need to eat because I do not understand some of the types I see. Or simply because I prefer to look at them.

Some of the types I see when wandering around the areas near the lake, I only recognize the termite fungus, they are common to everyone and I have also found some subterranean termite nests around. Could it be the cause? Most of the other types, because I don't understand them well, I think they are unusable or their shape and color makes me suspicious. In addition, the feeling of walking barefoot on the pine needles gives me quite a pleasant massage

Moss is a new beauty that I have recently discovered. The logs are attached with tiny green patches like lovely parasites. How wonderful it would be to have a magnifying glass to see in more detail these adorable little objects. It seems that some people make paintings with these patches of moss and lichens into quite interesting decorations.

I also found a common wild vegetable in humid areas. Here they call it Centella Asiatica, a herb with cool medicinal properties. In addition to using it as a vegetable, it also has many medicinal and oriental medicinal uses. I still remember when I was a child when Having wounds, my father often chewed both leaves and stems to apply to the wound to stop the bleeding.

I don't remember how long I roamed and walked along the lake's shore looking for something real with a definite purpose. But it's by avoiding the main roads that I have a private space when I don't see other people around it. Perhaps they are comfortably immersed in lakeside resort rooms or other lakeside camping and boating activities. Just me as part of nature here. Freedom and relaxation.

Thanks.

Thanks for joining the Wednesday Walk, Sorry last week was a bit rough for me and I not only did not get out for any walks, but also was not able to visit all the walks from last week, but feeling better this week and visiting posts again which is always fun for me to visit the walks from all around the world, getting a feel for communities where people live and what they see on their daily walks
