A stroll through Old Havana(en,/es)

Hello to all of you who, like me, went for a walk on Wednesday.

As I come very little already to the capital of all Cubans, I have taken advantage of this trip to collect enough photographic information of the places and places of interest through which I have passed.

It happens to me that because of the time I have not seen it, some places seem new to me and I am discovering them. Of course it is also logical, because I discover them with a different view of a different time.

And the fact is that Old Havana is full of historical, cultural, artistic, architectural, etc. references. Picturesque characters for different reasons. Some because they are so by nature. And others because they create a story for themselves and go out daily to the streets to show with their clothes and artifacts what they are not.

Thus, you find in the busy street of Obispo some public figures who are true archetypes of begging, and professional figurants or living statues, almost all with the clothes and work tools skillfully dyed with copper powders or other metals with which they want to appear that they have been cast.

I have been close to some of them and they really do their work with a lot of conviction, so I have given more than one tip to some of them. They really deserve it.

I was very excited to find myself in one of those historical sites with an excellent friend of Hive, I quickly recognized her, as she is identical to her profile picture. I am referring to the tireless @jordy0827. Very addicted to publish in the architecture communities, and in worldmapping.

I accompanied her a few blocks down the street in her search for architectural motifs for her posts,
Nice and transcendental encounter!

Also on my hurried tour I visited the fabulous studio of my friend painter and sculptor Leo de Lázaro. A whole artistic emporium that is expanding the narrow arteries of the community of his city environment.

Although my visit was brief, I consider it productive, because I met again and I was moved by things that I had not seen for a long time, and that have been very well preserved. While for others, I felt a lot of nostalgia, because they are either in very bad condition, or have disappeared.

But as the habaneros say; Havana is Havana, or that: Havana is the city, and the rest is landscape. Because, aside from being a joke, many of the historical and cultural relics of our country are concentrated in the capital.

But as a TV announcer also says: where else!

Thank you for joining me in this beautiful tour of the capital. And I hope to see you in the next one!
