The Longest Walk With Our Big Boss

in Wednesday Walk2 years ago

If you can hire people whose passion intersects with the job, they won't require any supervision at all. They will manage themselves better than anyone could ever manage them. Their fire comes from within, not from without. Their motivation is internal, not external._Stephen Covey

Hell, dear Hive friends. How are you? Well, I hope that you are all safe and in good health always despite some challenges we might face in our day-to-day life. Today I would like to share the longest walk we had with one of our big bosses in DepEd to conduct monitoring and evaluation. The walk was done last Wednesday, June 7, 2023, and it was the first day of the DIAL ME or Division Integration and Assessment of Learning Monitoring and Evaluation Examination in our Division. For every examination conducted, an Education Supervisor must monitor the conduct of the said examination. The one assigned in our district to monitor was our subject supervisor in TLE and TVL. Therefore he knows me very well as the District Coordinator in TLE in our District. Every time he will visit our district, he will always drop by our school. On that day he again visited the school for the monitoring of Dial Me and will also see the TVL/TLE shop room in every School in our District that offers TVL Track in Senior High Schools. He invited me to accompany him. So, after taking our lunch we moved to different schools.

First Stop...

Out of 8 public secondary schools, only 3 schools in our districts offered TVL Track in Senior High School. So we visited first at HFMNHS. They offered Cookery, Beauty Care, and ICT strand. Right upon our arrival the very approachable school head entertained us. The school was very clean, colorful, well-landscaped, and with a presence of a healthy vegetable garden. It was also surrounded by trees, so the air is so refreshing and relaxing. It was already past 1:00 PM, so no more students roaming around since the examination started.

Second Stop....

The next school we visited was DLNNMNHS. This is where my plantilla belongs since I am supposedly assigned to this school. But it was the discretion of our ASDS before and he assigned me to my present station now. I've been to this school many times but that was my first visit to their Senior High Area. As we arrived we told the school head that we will be proceeding to their Senior High School Site specifically to their shop room since the school offers SMAW. When we were on the site Im amazed by the school's view. It was so spacious that they can still accommodate buildings with 3 to 4-storey. The school was surrounded by trees so even if the sun shine so brightly I can felt the coldness of the wind breeze.

Third Stop

The next school we visited was KNHS. It was in this school where @selflessgem @missjoycee and @melit79 were assigned. This was my previous station. I am serving this school for almost 10 years, so I had a lot of memories to cherish in this school. Already 10 years passed and the school has had a lot of changes. Tall buildings had been built and the surroundings were beautifully landscaped and planted with flowering, ornamental, and vegetable plants.

Saint Vicente Ferrer Church

After visiting the 3 schools, providing technical assistance, and sharing insights we went to Saint Vicente Ferrer Parish Church and lit our candles. We were one of Saint Vicente Ferrer's devotees so visited the church.

Odlot Parish Church

We also visited the blessed Virgen Mary of Odlot, Bogo City, Cebu. The church was closed already when we arrived so we just lit our candles outside the church.

Eating Supper Together

It was almost 6:30 in the evening when we arrived at Bogo City. We felt hungry this time, so we went to Bogo Barbecue Plaza to take our supper. We ordered fish, chicken, pork, and chicken intestine. After eating we departed from the plaza going home by 7:30 in the evening. It was a long walk. I felt a little exhausted as I arrived home but the lesson I learned from our journey is worth to keep.
