Busy rice harvest in the fields

Hello dear Hivers in the Wednesday Walk community, today I will take you around rice fields to see the rice harvest season in my place. Another rice harvest is happening in the place where I live, Mang Den town. As you may know, Mang Den town is a mountainous town, and many ethnic minorities here are still growing rice as their main source of food. And this time of year is the rice harvest season. At this time, if you go to the rice fields, you will encounter a very bustling atmosphere.

The local people only grow one rice crop a year, so we should cherish this time even more. When I set foot in the rice fields, a sense of peace mixed with the bustling atmosphere. It is so peaceful because of the poetic scenery of ripe rice fields. In that atmosphere, everyone's working atmosphere was bustling and exciting. Everyone looks so happy because of the new rice season which is their main food for a year.

Everyone from the elderly to children spends most of their time in the rice fields these days. Adults rush to reap rice because delay will cause the rice to overripe and fall to the ground. Children and the elderly participate in support. Also when the fields were harvested and exposed the muddy puddles, that was also where they could find fishes. They cook right in the rice fields, they dine and rest right in the rice fields. And after the harvest, the rice is also stored in the rice storage houses right on the field.

The custom of storing rice in rice brothels right on the field originates from the old days. At that time, their houses were made of combustible materials such as wood, bamboo, hay, etc. So if their house caught on fire, it would be lost forever. Then they decided to build rice storage houses right on the field away from the main house to prevent fire.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post. I hope you will learn some new things. And have a nice day.

Natural things and places are just as fun as the way we see you busy pulling out rice. When a person works hard and gets something good, there is a lot of happiness.

Hey @djbravo, I totally agree with you. We often appreciate the things we work so hard to create.

Thanks.

Wow! This is really cool! They harvested by hands and remove the grains from the rice stems by feet like the old ways that never get obsolete. I tried doing them when I was a kid and I absolutely love it 😀 It is so satisfying to see your photos. I traveled back in time. Thanks for sharing. I really live your work ❤️ 😍

Yes, they still do the traditional way to harvest the rice here. Thank you very much for stopping by and leaving a lovely comment @diding.

I really like the traditional farmer atmosphere. I miss my hometown. Thank you for sharing beautiful photos.

I am happy that you see your hometown in my post. Come back to visit your hometown sometimes.

Thank so much brother

Thank you for sharing your post about the rice harvest season in Mang Den town. It sounds like a beautiful and exciting time of year.

I'm glad that you were able to capture the sense of peace and excitement that the rice harvest brings to the community. It's clear that the people of Mang Den town are very proud of their rice production, and I can see why.

I also learned a lot from your post, especially about the custom of storing rice in rice storage houses right on the field. That's a very interesting tradition, and I'm glad that you shared it with us.

I'm happy that you learned something from the post.
Thank you very much for your visit and wish you a nice day.

I always love your post and photos and so cool seeing the rice fields and the people harveting the rice by hand

Thanks for joining the Wednesday walk :)

Thank you very much for your visit. It's always my happiness to post in this great community.

Cooking and staying on the filed sounds like something we do around here in rainy seasons. Sometimes we travel to other towns far from where we live to farm because they're more isolated, so you can work efficiently. You stay there for days, complete the harvesting and go back home.

I love these rice farm posts:)

Here the rice fields are not really far from the houses, but people still do love stay at the fields to cook and have meals together, because if they go home, they cannot have meals together.

This is a great working process, making me to know the exact processes rice farmers go through before we see and eat it rice on tables, thank you.
