Wednesday Walk - Monkeys Watch

in Wednesday Walk3 years ago

Hello everyone in the Wednesday Walk community, today I decided to visit my monkey friends in Son Tra peninsula after a long lockdown due to the pandemic. It can be said that the Da Nang city government has done a very good job of preserving the ecology of Son Tra peninsula. So far, there are still many rare and precious flora and fauna species preserved in Son Tra peninsula such as douc langur, titmouse, Endemis flower, etc. Among the animals residing in Son Tra peninsula, the red-ass monkey is probably the easiest to meet and the friendliest. When you come here to explore this beautiful peninsula, you can easily see them on both sides of the road, they often come in groups and sometimes they even approach you to beg for food. After months of being indoors due to the pandemic, I'm happy to see them again and see that they are healthy.

Thanks, friend!

Glad you were able to get out and visit them, they are so cute, but are they michevious like some I have seen in other places, you have to keep an eye on everything or they will pop down and steal things especially anything shiny or food
Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk :), I truly enjoy exploring the world virtually each Wednesday seeing walks from all around the globe and feeling I am there and experiencing it all myself, such as I did in your post just now :)

Hi @tattoodjay, I also love the Wednesday Walk community because sometimes when I go out I see a lot of interesting things and I also find a lot of interesting things around the world through posts in the community. Thank you so much for creating this exciting community.

Cheers
My pleasure to host the walk community

Aren't they gorgeous, though I know from personal experience how volatile and vicious primates can be so glad that you had the zoom lens eh!

Thank you for your visit. These monkeys are actually quite friendly. I was pretty close to them.

Maybe they are so used to people being close to them so they have no fear and no need to steal peoples belongings! 🤣

Yeah they stole some foods from me before. But it's okay, I think that's a fee to watch them.😁

I volunteered here a few years ago and got to feed them every day and watch them too and it was great! I got some great footage a LOT of it with my go pro on my head- just to to find time to edit it now...

I saw some funny stuff that some of them tried to do with some of the other volunteers too...

That's great. I am looking forward to watching your video. Please let me know when you finish editting it.
