A walk in the park near the Palace

in Wednesday Walk6 months ago

I was a little bit nervous that day since it was the first day I would let my son join a daycare, not because we didn't have anyone to take care of him, but because my wife wanted him to learn how to interact with the other kids. although I don't really agree, I guess every parent wants the best for their kids, and doing it I guess will not be a bad one, so I finally agreed with her idea.

I didn't want to just left him there for the whole day for the first day, but only for two hours, to see how he react when he doesn't see us for a long time, and also to not give him a separation issue, so I just want a gradual development on the daycare program.

so rather than going back home, first I decided to visit a local park near the Palace which is also very near the daycare place. My idea was to spend the two hours there so I didn't need to go back and forth to pick him up later.

The sky was blue as you can see with the first photo of the street light in the parking lot below.

Not far from that, a very cool old Suzuki Katana car was parked, next to the other street light pole. not every day I see an old car as good and as shiny as this one.

I think the owner takes good care fo this car, because it really an old car, yet the condition of the car is still nice. I think she also got a new paint work as well.

Clean and shiny!

Not sure what these gentlemen were doing, taking in the open under the heat of the morning sun. they might want to capture more Vitamin D. :)

I tried to walk to the other side of the park, and see another street lamp. Although it uses a wooden pole with intricate carving, but both the lamp and the cover of the wiring were not in a very good condition. This kind of sighting is not that uncommon here in my place, unfortunately.

Next to it, across the street you can see this kind of relief on the wall of the Palace. I have never been inside of the Palace, But I guess you can visit them. As far as I know the Palace is still used by the Karangasem Kingdom's Royal Family as residency. If you are not aware, we do have Kingdom here in Bali, even under Dutch Colonial Rule, I think they were abolished in the 50's when all of the kingdoms in Bali declared integration into the Republic.

Here is another relief of the wall, do you notice the crown and the two lion on the side of it? It certainly got influence from the Colonial. (maybe I should do another research about the Palace and go inside if it is allowed)

One part of the second story building can be seen from the outside.

The ornament on the gate of the Palace, this is purely Balinese-style carving, made with red bricks.

Moving on to the other side of the park, I find some sad thing again, the kind of condition of the public facility here in my town. This one is the base of the floodlight of the park, it might look nice when it is finished, but now not so much.

A couple still discussing where to go on the side of the road to the park, and you can see the gravity on the wall beside them.

The Palace might have all the glory, like most of the other palace in the world, but this is what the peasants usually have. even now in the modern world.

It was also the end of my walk, because I changed my mind and headed back home, and decided to go back when I needed to pick up my son in the day care.

In my experience it does children a lot of good to be in the nursery and play and socialize with others, your son is sure to love it. I think the parents suffer the separation more than they do 😄, although it is true that they have to get used to it little by little.

I liked the palace in general, it has very nice details.

haha, yes I hope he can also do that as well, so that he can be very well adjusted.
thank you very much. I am so happy that you like my work
