Checking out the rice field

in Wednesday Walk5 months ago

After the physiotherapy session for my back problem, I decided to take some time to check out the rice field next to the physio place. my real intention was to check out one of the recently famous cleansing place. It was kind of a holy spring that is used for a cleansing ritual, and the village where it is located decided to make it into a local attraction so that more people would come and check the place.

I am not really that into cleansing rituals, but then I decided to check out the rice field instead. Here is what I have during the walk, and this is something that is so different from what I have in the ricefield near my hometown.
To star is this small hut or shed that I see a few in the field. For the context, most of the farmers here usually working on a small lot of land, the biggest might be 5000sqm land, there will not be any big shed around, but these one I found around here are way to small than what I saw at home, with the same amount of land.

Not sure the reason, but my guess is that this is only used for short break during the field work, and not being used to store field tools. So simple isn't it?

This one even in a very bad condition, unfortunately.

you can see the hills in the horizon, with the settlement at the foot of the hill. Not sure for how many years more we can see the field, before it will turn into house or any other building plots.

A shrine in the rice field, I think this is where the farmers usually do the ceremony before the planting season, asking for blessing from the Wisnu, the God of Nurture and Water, there is small ditch next to the shrine that bring water for the irrigation.

Another shade, but this one is bigger in size.

Before I return home, I found this group of kids, walking around the rice field. Maybe they are into something. I didn't ask much about them as they are kind of in a hurry and also a bit shy as they know I have my camera with me. : )

one last look before they were gone from my sight.
