A walk by the sea

in Wednesday Walkyesterday

It was a day off that seemed that will be spent at home. Not enough zest for a new adventure, not enough energy for a trip, not a single good idea to motivate us. It's ok, doing nothing is part of our nature too. A rather misunderstood part of our nature, I might add. Having the time to just sit and listen to our thoughts, without the constant noise of tasks that keep coming one after another, can be very important and constructive.

Of course by doing nothing I don't mean scrolling on social media or watching tv. I mean the quality time spent with ourselves. The time that is so scarce and so much needed in our modern world.

Most of the day passed under that spirit. Resting, relaxing and reflecting. Anyway it was a gloomy day, not very inviting for outdoors activities. But at some point the sun found its way through the clouds and a walk by the sea sounded like an appealing option.

And since it was a day off we though to spice it up a bit by doing, not our usual seaside walk but another one, a few kilometres afar.

So we drove for a few minutes, just enough to have a change of scenery without any real hassle and we took a lovely seaside path from the parking lot to a small chapel, built on the rocky coast, a few hundred meters away.

The sun was warm and welcome on this winter afternoon. Even a few hours without sunshine was too much for our spoiled, Mediterranean disposition. We are so used to see the sun every day that a cloudy week can trigger waves of depression around the population :)

And the breeze from the sea was just as cold as it was needed to be considered refreshing and not annoying!

Doing nothing can be nice but a walk by the sea can be nicer!

We arrived easily and quickly at the chapel maybe a bit too quickly. I wouldn't mind walking a little further but the end of the day was close and although short, it was a lovely walk anyway. We had sea, sun and flowers all over us. What else could we ask for?

Thank you very much!

Have a great day yourself :)

Here it happens to us like you, a week without sun and everyone starts to protest. ha ha ha With those landscapes I wouldn't stay without doing anything, I'm sure. I love the yellow rosemary, but bushes full of other little yellow flowers, please, they are a spectacle. I loved the photos, as I always tell you, you follow a line of places I should go to in the future. greetings.

Haha yes, people that are used to the sun can't live without it :)

Cheers!
