One more Wednesday, one more walk, one more post about the picturesque and scenic Nafplio! A small town blessed with a lovely seafront and a wonderful historical centre. Both great for a nice walk, both with its own unique characteristics.
Which one should I choose for my walk?
But of course, both :)
I started my stroll from a part of the towns fortified wall that is called the five brothers, named after the five old canons that used to defend the old town and are still there, overlooking the sea! I joined them and and started shooting (with my camera) towards the wonderful view, the small island-fortress in the sea and the people that were taking their walk. Definitely a spot with strategical value and a great viewpoint :)
Then I moved towards the centre, trying to make the most out of the abundant sunshine and the typical old houses that are so distinctive in Nafplio. I love the spring and autumn sun. It so much better than the harsh and almost intolerable summer sunshine!
When I am taking pictures here, I often have the feeling that the town is taking the pictures on its own. I just borrow my hand and my equipment and all the rest are just happening, almost automatically :)
And then I turned towards the seaside, taking pictures of the unwrinkled sea, the small boats and the seafront buildings. I concluded my circular walk at the same spot that I started, the five brothers canons and the parking lot that I avoided to show :)

That is so true and there are a number of places like that. I found this to be the case in Corfu town for example and other places too.
I am glad I am not the only one thinking of that. I guess some places have a power on their own!
They do, something special.
Some great shots here for #wedensdaywalk

Thanks for sharing a bit of you world. I'm not jealous at all... 👀👣
Haha, I am glad you are not jealous :)

I was intrigues by the title Almost Automatically, but then I read how you had the feeling tha town is taking picures using your hand and camera and it all makes sens eot me I know of places where i have had the same feeling
Thanks for joining the Wednesday, its always fun for me to visit the walks from all around the world, getting a feel for communities where people live and what they see on their daily walks
Yes, I like to use ambiguous titles once in a while :)
I believed that it was a original thought (the town taking the pictures itself) but as I see in the comments other people have felt it too! Probably some places are more special than others!
I must admit i struggle with coming up with good titles for my posts, mostly its a bland description LOL
OHh I think it was an original thought, some places just bring out special feelings in people
That looks very nice! I have been to the Peloponnese a couple of years ago. It's a beautiful part of Greece! Thank you for taking us on your walk!
Thank you very much! It is a very nice place indeed :)

What a great looking village! Right by the water, too. And canons! What more could a village want?
I guess nothing more!
You are right to call it a village but we call it a town :)
Actually this is the historical centre of a small town around it!
