Hello Wednesday walkers.
Today we were working a bit in side the greenhouse area of El Ejido.
And after the word we were getting a very nice Spanish dinner. Paella.
And of course after dinner walkies. We started outside this construction. It's a old aqueduct and it's still in use.
The area here is very warm and dry so the depending on water from the mountains. As you can see, there is some leakage here d there. But that makes this a nice are to spot some plants and mosses.
Pretty ferns hanging upside down.
So many mosses and little plants here. Those colors are pretty cool to see. It are moments like this I miss my macro lens.
I am not sure what the yellow blob is, probably some slime fungus of some kind.
Google images told me it's some kind of slimy mold but I cant find the specific one.
Remember, I am shooting upwards, standing underneath the aqueduct.
We are in the middle of the greenhouse area. They are all made of plastic, metal wire and scaffolding poles. I don't know if that is a normal construction for you, but here in the Netherlands those greenhouses are made out of glass.
So sometimes there are holes in the plastic, so I can stick my camera in there.
this greenhouse has got paprika inside. And there are a lot of them. I can see now why this area is so full of these greenhouses. the growing conditions here are perfect.
They look very good to me. This looks like a good harvest.
I was just to late to take a good picture of this guy. his little tractor full of paprika's.
At the end of the street there was a citrus tree farm.
So many. I wanted to make lemonade immediately.
Water here is very important and it is very well regulated. Every one has got different water rights here and there are company's who open and close the water stream to the different greenhouses and farms. Depending on how many hours of water rights they have.
That's why out of the blue, there is a pipe in the street some were.
Almost at every green house or farm you see the water pipes running inside.
And this I thought was just a funny picture. Lines and blue sky. In the Netherlands the soils is soft. Clay ore sand so every single cable is running underground.
