Yay it is #wednesdaywalk again, the great initiative by @tattoodjay participated by some of us all around the world. We share ours and also can "join" others in some "virtual walks" to see places we may probably never have chances to go in this life.
Unplanned, I suddenly felt like checking out a nearby stream if it is kid-friendly for children to visit so I decided to just go walk after I dropped my son off to school. Actually I was lazy and I have already reached home so I decided to just google up a nearby place - Taman Warisan. Taman means park while warisan means heritage in Malay. I don't actually see signs of this place but I followed Google map to reach and parked my car near the path to the entrance of it.
Come with me, let's go!
So this place actually overlooking the view of Bukit Tabur, a hill near my place which apparently has one of the best views for hiking. I have seen friends posted about it but I have no courage to explore it yet as there have been some casualties reported too from some of the hikers.
*It has very nicely paved roads and it is kind of secluded from the city area and it intertwines with a more kampong(village) style as it is situated next to some village houses.
I could spot some open lands here still.
The passerbys and others who walked here are very friendly and they would greet new visitors like me as if they know me.
Soon, I was wandering to even more secluded roads.
Then I got greeted by these fellas who were roaming freely - Chickens!!
Look at one of them crossing the road like a boss!
Then I realized that with this nice wooden house and this Air Selangor which is the private entity taking care of our state's water supply, it marked a dead end road.
This sign says it is a permanent forest reserve area so I cannot budge in. Hence I took a turn and walked back to where I came from. I was wondering where is the stream?!
I came here looking for a stream and a little waterfall as shown by Google. But I did not find it. So I was thinking maybe I walked to the wrong side. Hence I walked back the same way I came in.
Passed by another area of some logging activities done perhaps and a long pipeline.
Got greeted by more chickens hahaha.
Arrived at a little bridge and I crossed it.
Arrived at this very clear stream but I found no way to get down to it. Look at the fishes.
I walked further into a village.
Saw quite a few squirrels.

Walked into this village.
Arrived at another bridge.
Look who are the occupants here - Monkeys! So many of them.
A local told me once crossed the bridge will see the waterfall but there were so many monkeys on the trees above the bridge. I hesitated. Tried twice to cross but yeah I finally chickened out hehe.
So that's my #wednesdaywalk for today, exploring a new area in our neighbourhood. Maybe one day I will return with more people and cross the second bridge as I was actually anticipating to see this!

It was a productive walk, nevertheless. I enjoyed the fresh air and nature and greenery around me!
Squirrels Monkeys and many chickens, and the friendly people made for a nice walk even if you didn't get to see the waterfall, as you say maybe next time you will get to see it
Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk :), I truly enjoy exploring the world virtually each Wednesday seeing walks from all around the globe and feeling I am there and experiencing it all myself, such as I did in your post just now :)
You had a nice walk even if you didn't get to see the waterfalls. Maybe next time :)
What a walk @happycrazycon 😁 you went wrong and than again… sooo close to the water fall. But I fully understand. I would probably also hesitate with the monkeys. You never know.
You did see a lot on your walk. Beautiful views… and roads… the greenery.
