🌾Sunday to relax(🇬🇧/🇪🇦)

in Wednesday Walk2 years ago (edited)

English Version

Today I come to share with you the beautiful walk I took through the streets I usually frequent, focused mainly on the Vidal Park in Santa Clara. This park is one of the most beautiful things our city has. It is covered with a large number of trees that, as I have mentioned more than once in my posts, were planted at different times of the year, which guarantees that we can always have one in sight that is in bloom.

This park is the best place to relax, I didn't know how much it was going to help me to walk around here with the simple goal of connecting with nature and with myself.

It has several monuments, one of which I find the most curious. It is the statue of the boy with the boot👇

What does this statue represent?
The figure was made in series, which makes it suppose that it is not the only one in the world, it represents a 6 or 7 year old boy with a cap that during the US Civil War used their boots to carry water to the wounded and sick of the conflict, its only function is aesthetic, giving a touch of joy in the environment when water sprouts from a hole in the boot.

This is a quite busy area for tourists as it is surrounded by buildings and places with great historical value.

In the background is the José Martí Library.

The green building in the background is the "Santa Clara Libre" Hotel.

As a last piece of information, I tell you to appreciate and admire everything around you, I hope to be around here with you soon.
